Good to see Victor calling out his sub-par teammates. This is going to be a long year, but I look fwd to next season when Mitch Johnson won't be head coach, half the roster will be different, AND the team will be title contenders once again and for as long as Victor is playing. He’ll be best player in NBA prob next 5-10 yrs at least, but as a face of the league..he won’t match LeBron or MJ. Edwards isn’t as great as Wemby, but he checks most boxes in that regard.

@ American born, charisma, highlight dunks…he’s at least closest in regards to standard wing. Wemby is just definition of a unicorn. I think he’s amazing to watch, but he’s unique. He won’t pull domestically though as strong because he’s French. At least vs LeBron, Kobe, ppl like that.

@ For sure. Don’t disagree with that either…I think it depends too market we’re talking about. LBJ had a unique story media could latch onto. For casual average American fan, he was relatable. I was watching him at SVSM as a 7th grader and now he’s still playing 20 yrs later haha. What Wemby has going for him is his skillset to match his height, and he landed on a winning team. If he keeps going at this pace, ppl will acknowledge him regardless. Like I don’t think Jokic is most marketable star either, but we all know he’s amazing. Growing up, Duncan was like that too. Regarded as best, but not nearly as popular as Kobe and Shaq. Idk bro, when they talk about “face of league”, there are a lot of factors though. Even with Ant, he realistically has to get out of Minnesota if he wants to hit peak popularity. Just the way it is unfortunately.

He’s only shooting a lot of 3s because the spurs organization told him to so he can become a better shooter and it’s working because in his last 15 games he’s shooting 39% and for the season he’s shooting 36% so I will say by the all star break he will be a 40%+ 3pt shooter.
