Fixing the oil leak at the back of the intake, the one step you're missing is the Shop-Vac attached to the valve cover... Plug up any other oil breathers, dipstick tube turn the shop back on and pack the silicone and it will actually suck it into the leak.

Hey Jared, just my 2c....I understand the need for an air filter while driving on the street, from my own experience (big cube/rpm, tunnel rammed, NA deal) that particular set up tends to throttle the engine in a big way for anything over low/mid rpm use. I'm sure there's others out there that haven't had any issues but it is something to look out for. Alky Digger has a better solution that attaches a large singular filter directly to/over the front of the bug catcher, allows more air flow while also being easy to remove/refit for maintenance etc. Cheers

Just being parked next to you in the pits at the last Burnout Rivals in April was interesting, I learned a lot just by listening to you troubleshoot! We're also going through the same struggle. Biggest example of doing the wrong thing the right way: replaced the clutch on my wife's variable displacement air conditioning compressor with 6 welds to the pulley. Nissan at the time didn't sell a replacement clutch, just a couple grand on a compressor, and the displacement minimum was 0 cc, which, to my mind, is the same thing as having the clutch disengaged (with the possible caveat of what happens if the compressor seizes, but it was on its own belt, so whatever). It kept the AC running in New Mexico for a decade, until the VQ motor managed to drop a cylinder at 175k miles.

Want some advice from an Aussie burnout veteran the exhaust needs to be dumped in front of the rear tyres to push the smoke out plus it clears the smoke away enables you to see a little better and it creates a better smoke plume don't believe me watch any Australian burnout comp we Know skids.

So far biggest do the wrong thing the right way with my car has been changing headlight bulbs. By factory design you are supposed to pull the front bomber and remove the entire headlight assemblies. However what I found out is that if you loosen everything a little, you can cram your hands down into a tiny space to swap the bulbs without removing the bumper or the headlights. It takes the same amount of time, but with far less work.
