My concern: so this extends the image range. How about the radio range? If the radio range is not extended, you might lose radio signal but still see the image which should be showing your drone crashing from the sky and you have no radio control over it.

excellent I am ordering the DJI TX this week along with more air units. I have built two 5" and two 7" DJI so far. More to come. More and more I look at my analog quiver and it just seems "old". The ability to have a stack and simply plug in the air unit and have camera and rx and vtx all installed. damn … no more struggling with pins and plugs and wires ...wow .

Anyone know how the controller links in? I had assumed it had its own 5.8Ghz link to the air unit, but in this video, there are directional antennas on the goggles, but not the controller. So how did those omni's on the controller do so well? Granted, nearly all of this was line of sight. But this video is making me second guess what frequency the controller is on, and/or does it only link to the goggles. But those are fairly large omnis to just link to the goggles,....

I think one of the best steps forward by DJI is the lack of video static / breakup myself....I use UHF and 1280mhz video on my long range quad. Its limit is its flight Lipo capacity. Nice test though, good job. Why they didn't make a goggle headset years ago is beyond me, I mean those iPADS in sunlight are basically useless.

Thanks for all that and I have few questions. I know I can use for example Frsky taranis X9D with goggles and with crossfire TX on it and on DJI goggles with 2 TrueRC DJI X-air antennas RHCP version, and on quad, is the main thing I want to know, should I get SINGULARITY 5.8 MMCX90? Like they will perform better with each other? And for X9D should I buy TBS Crossfire Nano Rx with antenna for quad to work with crossfire TX or that's don't need at all? I know maybe that is stupid question, but as it is new system I think there is some reasons for that. Thanks in advance and It is really awesome, so many changes in couple months in fpv world, thats crazy! Thanks again for sharing with us all that information!

Hey! Do you still have two stubby/Omni antennas on those goggles as well along with those true RC long range ones as well? And if you do what ones are on top or on bottom?
@FilipRadelic4 жыл бұрын
You can run two patches (four actually since these are double ones). If you only had one of these, you’d use it on left/right instead of top/bottom. Top antennas are RX only, bottom ones are RC and TX so if doing half patches half omnis, better to do it side by side.
@alexandrucovaliov89895 жыл бұрын
This is when long-range makes more sense. Before, I was thinking: what's the point to fly long-range if the video quality is security camera quality. Yes you see the trees, bushes, etc but they are low quality, they are not to enjoy the views. Now, with the HD system, a long-range is a really enjoyable flight.
@rcrdps81445 жыл бұрын
I have never flown long range like this, but I can tell you, regardless of the true range, when you're over a canopy of trees, or over water, it's a huge adrenaline rush. It's too much for me, but some folks enjoy adrenaline.
