I havnt seen any videos of this flying in factory or behind dense buildings or in a forest. How does it perform in those situations as analog systems struggle.
@ummagawdFPV5 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard from other testers that it’s decent, but so far my experience leaves a lot to be desired. The latency/freeze framing kicks in sooner than I’d prefer. That said, I’m waiting for a firmware update and will be making an update video. If object penetration is a need for your flying, I suggest holding off or at least being aware of this and learning its limitations.

Being in the hobby for a couple of years now, it's exactly what I was hoping for. The game has been changed, now it'll be a battle of the manufactures to compete and refine it. Maybe my hopes and expectations are low because of how stagnant innovation is in FPV, but I dig it. I won't adopt it yet. It's not perfect, it may not even be the answer, but it's a damn good step in the right direction.
@billybbob185 жыл бұрын
@@pyroman590 I agree. I was hoping for Samsung to pull it off, but DJI was already on the digital HD transmission bandwagon. They just needed to figure out the latency problem. They did. I've never seen fpv footage like that. The frame rate might take getting used to (in a good way).

Thanks Bruce 🙏 and to answer you question, you can actually change the modes in the menu system. But I haven’t had a chance to open up the radio and see if you can swap the spring tension .

Let me tell you, I was pretty excited to hear about this, and I really appreciate your video. I'm new to drones and am trying to find the best solution for Search and Rescue applications, and I thought HD Digital signal was the way to go because spotting your target would be faster in HD. But you brought up the signal problems at range and in cover, like the forests where I would need to use this, and that's a problem. Thanks for your honesty - I never even thought about signal degradation, and that's pretty huge.

Simply put, backwards thinking. Not trying to be rude. Just saying, when I flew them, I thought this is exactly what would be needed. With that said, all systems have degradation. Here is the thing, the speed at which you could clear an area with a clear video is 30 times that of analog. Btw, I was an Army soldier and spent much much days in Afghanistan. So, let's say you are forced to stay near the quad. Well, use a quad. One person driving through with a 4 wheeler with one person riding and flying. The quad is zipping back and forth through the woods behind trees while the driver goes back and forth in lines. You only have so much battery life anyway, so you have to stay near. These are so real that I got motion sick when I spun the quad around in circles. And I was a paratrooper on active duty.

OMG - HD FPV is what I love most about flying my boring Mavic and have always wanted a similar HD experience for my racequads! (if the price is right)

Great job Tommy. I have a very good idea of what the system is and what it is capable of now. Thank you for taking the time to give us the facts.

I have a fatshark v3 and I very happy with it, BUT I bought the DJI goggles yesterday and I'm waiting to arrive and see, with my own eyes, if everything that everyone is saying is true! Great video!

Did you get them yet? Do you like them if so?
@luisjonassk84 жыл бұрын
RADER FPV yes, I did! Man, I have to say, it's amazing! You can see everything with much more clarity, things that you can't see with analogue! It's more fun!
