This defense is starting to get the hang of the Vic Fangio defense. I dont think they will be a top 10 D this year, probably middle of the pack. But i think the next 3-5 years, with the youth and talent, this defense can be excellent if Fangio can teach these young guys and develop them. Quinyon Mitchell, Jalen Carter, Cooper DeJean, Sydney Brown, Nolan Smith/Jaylx Hunt can be elite contributors...while Jordan Davis, Kelee Ringo, Milton Williams, Bryce Huff, Blankenship, and even Nakobe Dean/Trotter Jr have a chance to be very good. They are all so young and have so much potential. I think the oldest guys I named are Huff and Williams, and they are like 26-27.

The Ravens and Lions have proven that run heavy offenses are still the key for success this year, the Eagles have finally found their version of it after Nic had his verbal battle with the fans after the Cleveland game. If the Eagles can beat the Ravens and the Commanders (twice), then they are for real. Can they beat Detroit or Minnesota though? They did beat the Packers so they passed that one test. The Bucs game was tough to watch but take away the 3 starting receivers of any team and see what happens. Only the Chiefs have a defense that could compensate for that. The Falcons team was just a weird collapse where everything that could go wrong did.

I say this every week: if Hurts throws over 30 times, our chances of winning drop significantly. For many reasons. He doesnt want to throw the ball away, so he takes sacks and fumbles. Hes also a risk taker. Not a Favre type, but he wants that big play.

It was a solid win. Eagles need to play that way against teams with winning records going forward. I think they are a really good team when healthy and I seem to be in the minority among my friends who think Hurts is a top qb. Personally not a big Eagles fan, but doesn't rout against them most of the time either. I do hope they crush Dallas both games, but I hope anyone crushes Dallas every week.

The Eagles are enigmatic. One of the most talented rosters but completely fell apart last year for some reason. New OC and DC brings new hope, but so far it's still not as good as it should be. I still think they can win the division if they can keep improving, but if they fell off again I wouldn't be surprised. Enigmatic AF.

If you watch the game, obviously, Saquon had a great game, but it came to win. The defense was worn out. Our offense was not doing anything to help defense. We were on the field most of the time when everybody was fresh leg, couldn’t move the ball until the Giants were wore out. They played a bad team, but you’re acting like the Super Bowl win 😂

I mean, let's call it what it is. Let's stop trying to Crown them. Let's stop being impatient and let's actually call it what it is. They've had 4 different coordinators between offense and defense combined in the last 4 years. Okay. So it's one of those things where they have to figure out exactly what the player's strength best suits certain aspects of their system. I mean, yes, we all wanted them to be great straight out of the gate, but I think we all knew that that was a tall order and we knew that they could show signs of greatness immediately and they did that first game. Yeah, look a little bit sloppy, but if you still look at the overall and the totality of it, we should have been up 4 touchdowns, but again, we have fundamental mistakes and they're not the same as they were in previous years. Third, maybe you could say they're similar, but they're not specifically the same problems. Okay. We knew there was gonna be a time period where the either was gonna struggle and while they were figuring out where they were just gonna flat out loose and guess what? They did a little bit of both, but this is the truth. They are a top 5 NFL football team. Certain teams are getting better and we have to understand that the lions. The falcons the saints they're all making their way back to prime time. They're the teams that are going to be up there in the NFC over the next 5 to 6 years, the buccaneers, they're coming on strong Baker Mayfield, he is a truly good quarterback again, sometimes the system needs to be right for the quarterback, sometimes quarterbacks, aren't. Suited for all systems. But Jaylen hurts looks like he has proven that he can adapt and play in a variety of systems. And that's the thing that people have to understand they are looking at systems that they can adapt to Jaylen Hertz, or they're looking at systems that Jaylen hurts can adapt to. Now. Do I agree with him when he says the funk is over? Yes, I do I think the buy couldn't have come at a best time. You take the beginning of our schedule which was pretty rough. All those teams are either winning teams. Or their teams that abetter losing close games. Those teams are dangerous in the wild card. That's a team that can run the table and win it all the Steelers did it. The bucks did it. And and there's many other teams that have made a deep run into the playoffs off of the Wild card. Because football is a funny sport. You have 2 seasons. You have the regular season and then when the playoff. S start some teams completely change because the dynamic is different. You're not playing for 16 weeks. You're playing for potentially 4 more, so the preparation is way different. Now I think our defense is finally. Plug the right players into the right positions. Or they have figured out systems that work with most of the players that they have and you see that are defense is contributing from everywhere. You have young guys stepping up because older guys are injured. You have veterans that are starting to come back to form after being thought to be long gone as far as. Their ability. The Eagles are a top 5 team and anybody who tries to tell you. Otherwise is just hating. Yes, we don't always get it done pretty, but that's the motto of our team we win. Any way we can get and I don't care if it looks pretty. Some games will look neat and wrapped with a bow. Some games will look like a train wreck, but a win is win. It doesn't matter the goal at the end of the day. Is to have AW, so how about we should stop hating? And let's enjoy the athletic show. That is the Philadelphia Eagles, I mean. Before last week's game, let me put something in perspective for you. Before last week's game with the Giants, Patrick mahomes and Jaylen Hart had the exact same stat. One matter of fact hurts has less interceptions, but yet the chiefs are undefeated and we're 4 and 2 and people are talking about. We're just a football football team. We're just cherry picking off of an easy schedule and benefiting off of Arapahoe. Are opponents mistakes? But isn't that the point in football? I think the story should be not that. We're capitalizing on the mistakes by the other team, but it should be that you can't make a mistake against the Eagles. And it doesn't even matter if it's as insignificant small mistake. We could still make you pay. We make teams look, but for. Some reason everybody seems to try to redirect it on us as if we're just getting lucky. But yet it keeps on happening. So at what point can we stop saying? We're getting lucky and can we just start admitting that we have a talented football team that is winning at any cost in any fashion because we're just unpredictable like that. Yeah, I know, we've had some bumps in a row, but I'm telling you this right now. This team is getting ready to make a deep run.And they're playing For Keeps. They Are not playing for second place

Jalen Hurts feels overrated to me. I think the superbowl year was an outlier run. He's really good. But I'd take Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Goff, Lamar, Stafford, maybe Purdy(?), is he better than herbert?, feels like stroud and love are on really good trajectories. Even if he is one of the better QBs in the league, If there are that many above him or at least arguably better can we really say he is amazing? Is better than 50% of what is around the league right now good enough to be great when the top of the league is so good?
