The Jets don't have a good defense, it's just that quarterbacks magically self-destruct against them. Nothing to do with Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen, C.J. Stroud, and Patrick Mahomes having no time to throw and no one open.

"He hasnt thrown for 300 yards in 23 games" is such a stupid stat to keep throwing out there. He won at least half of those games and that stretch extends into his most recent MVP year. Its meaningless. 300 yard passing games is great for fantasy football but it means next to nothing when it comes to winning a football game. He threw for 224 and 3 TDs in a win against Dallas in 2022 with a near perfect QBR of 146.7. Tell me again why this stupid stat matters?

Did Nick have this same "feasting on bad teams" energy for his Bucs, Chiefs, and Cowboys last year as he does for the Jets rn ? Chiefs beat Denver who missed the playoffs, Chargers minus Herbert, Patriots who were terrible, Jaguars that missed the playoffs, Bengals minus Burrow, Bears who missed the playoffs, Raiders who missed the playoffs Cowboys beat bad teams and got BLASTED by good teams (Buffalo, Green Bay, SF for instance) Buccaneers were in the worst division in football and beat teams like a checked out Eagles team, but lost to good teams like the Bills, Lions twice, and Eagles earlier in the year when they still were good I laughed at this take all throughout, given that his 3 favorite teams beat some of the worst teams in all of football last year lmao. I think it is really silly to judge the Jets based on the Qb play of Zach especially when the did nothing for him the Jets have had the worst offensive line In The NFL they have had the worst play callers in nfl history. It took them half the season to realize how to effectively use Breece hall . The coaching staff is Horrible. Rodgers isn’t get either the last play he made in Greenbay was an interception loosing a playoff game I’m sorry the Jets have a lot to prove
@richardgonzales35623 ай бұрын
The football metrics say Garret Wilson is an elite wide receiver. It may be hard for Nick to see from his ivory tower because of the low percentage of catchable balls thrown his way, but Wilson was excellant against all coverages. Breece Hall was brought in slowly. It takes a year to get back to 100% from his injury. At the end of 5he season he was dynamic even when the other team knew they could stack the box cause Stevie Wonder could read their coverages better than Zach Wilson. The Jets beat some elite teams because the league made that happen? Did the league forget about Carolina? They had two wins. Where'd their other 4 or 5 gratuitous laegue passes go? They had a number 1 draft pick at QB, just like Chicago this year. Trevor Lawrence is The Prince that is more of a pauper at the moment. Caleb is close to walking on water and the force is strong in him, without ever throwing a single pass in an NFL game. Nick backs up his nonsense with that classic, time proven statement....because I say so. 😂

If you are confident you don't keep attacking the team that has improved dramatically. You don't need to. You know that loss hurt. Nick had to endure the walk of shame on Monday after that game. He's not trembling in his boots, but he is lashing out because the metaphoric dog he raised and nurtured from a pup bit him unexpectantly and now he doesn't have complete confidence in it (the Chiefs).
@gmjr303 ай бұрын
@richardgonzales3562 we sure about this dramatic improvement?! The Chiefs wound up winning the Superbowl. I'm sure he thinks his 💩 don't stink anymore, and the Jets are NOT a rival. Nobody scared of care about the Jets besides Jets fans. Lol and smh
@richardgonzales35623 ай бұрын
@@gmjr30 nobody is ever sure. Vegas is often wrong. I think the Jets could make the playoffs. If they don't I'm not going to pour either. It's sports. Stuff happens. When you are the best and get beat you just work harder to show it was a fluke. Jets haven't been good in ages. But they have improved. Will Rodgers make a difference? I think so. But how much? That depends on the other teams out there. Right now it's only speculation. Everyone expects the receivers will be better this year in KC. Maybe. I think so. But wouldn't be surprised if they produced like last year. Nick is worse than a little league parent in the stands after a close call goes against their kid. 😂

People hate the jets because the Ny media loves drama, and will tear up any news story. Easiest to do with historically disappointing teams. Mix that with a rabid, large fanbase in the largest media market in the world, that has been tortured for decades, that will suck up any content, along with a QB the media has long despised for not toting their line, and the jets become a moneybag for media. Same goes for most Ny teams that aren’t dominating in their particular sports. The only thing that will stop it is winning🤷♂️
@steves99643 ай бұрын
Great points and especially true with the Jets. NY media has been trying to squirm into that locker room and headquarters and drive a wedge in wherever it can. The largest reason is because it can; the Jets have lacked effective leadership with its absentee ownership and open door policy of most of its coaches. Not all but most. Parcells controlled things for the most part, and Mangini tried making it the gulag which had the opposite effect.
@KD_552 ай бұрын
@@steves9964 we live in an world now where you can be a Joe Douglas/Robert Saleh and bust your ass to run a tight ship, but social media has grown so damn much compared to the days of a Parcells, Mangini, etc., that drama and leaks can be completely manufactured. Anybody who is anybody can make an X account and post "Leaks" or rumors. If it's good enough to be true, the media will run with it EVEN if it's completely manufactured to poke fun at the Jets. Also to note, it's human nature to want to share secrets and be in the know. If an NFL team has a handful of frustrated coaches or executives (such as the Jets assistant GM last year), you better believe it's tempting to be that source that these sharks are demanding dirty laundry from.

Aaron Rodgers is no longer the player you think he is. His last year in GB he averaged 212 yards per game. He looked old and tired. That was two years ago before the Achilles injury. The Jets are a Breece Hall twisted ankle away from having throw it every down. That OL will never hold up. The defense is far from elite. The odds are more likely Zach Wilson revives his career in Denver than the Jets make a playoff run. Reality has never been a friend to Jets fans.
@AdamB342 ай бұрын
@@thomasmoshier3920 you're aware that Rodgers played with a broken thumb on his throwing hand for most his last season in Green Bay right? And his top wr was friggin Allen Lazard right? That's why his stats dipped. Also... the Jets defense has been elite the last two years. Top 4 the last 2 years.
@thomasmoshier39202 ай бұрын
Adam my friend, so good to hear from you! Here’s what “I’m aware of.” We’ve been making excuses for Aaron Rodgers since he won the SB back in 2010. Now, it hasn’t always been entirely his fault. But the minute he started calling himself the goat and pointing the finger at others, I called BS. You know the routine Adam. Those last 6 or 7 seasons in GB, every year in training camp it was always the same. Let’s survey the room and pick someone to blame when Aaron Rodgers comes up short again in the playoffs. And we blamed everyone from McCarthy and Gutekunst to Kevin King and Joe Barry. But never the man himself. With Rodger far too intellectually superior to the average mortal man to be questioned about anything. At some point Rodgers has to man up and take responsibility. Which of course he never does. Aaron Rodgers thumb seemed fine to me when Christian Watson caught 6 or 7 TD’s during a three game stretch after Rodgers stubbornly refused to throw it to him for two months after the rookie dropped a TD in the opener against Minnesota. The thumb injury didn’t stop Romeo Dobbs from having a solid rookie season. It’s just another Aaron Rodgers excuse for coming up short again. What will the excuse be this year? You know how this ends. Same song different verse. Start looking for your scapegoat. You’re gonna need one. Regardless what shade of green he’s wearing.
@AdamB342 ай бұрын
@@thomasmoshier3920 wow... you could've saved a lot of time and just typed "I hate Aaron Rodgers" 🤣🤣🤣 because that's literally all you said. Let's address your opinion point by point shall we?... - 1st... Joe Barry has literally never put out a good defense in his entire career for any team he's been the DC for. He's one of the worst DCs in the nfl. Also, in Aaron Rodgers' playoff career the defenses gave up 33.5 ppg in his losses. BY FAR the worst for any qb with 10+ playoff starts. For perspective, John Elway was 1-6 in the playoffs when his defense gave up 30+ points and Brady's defenses gave up 17 points or less 18 times in the playoffs. Gee, I wonder if defense impacts winning in the playoffs??? According to you, it doesn't. Only the qb matters 🤦🤦 - 2nd... Gutekunst never even attempted to upgrade the wrs for Rodgers until 2022. He just kept giving him practice squad guys (Lazard), washed up bums (Sammy Watkins) mid round busts (Amari Rodgers) and guys who can only run one route (MVS). GB consistently had one of the worst groups of wrs/tes in the nfl (aside from Davate) with Rodgers since Gutekunst took over as gm and Rodgers STILL WON 2 MVPS AND WENT TO TWO NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES in the 6 years he played with Gutekunst as the gm. I mean come on bro... he won mvp with Marques Valdez-Scantling and Allen Lazard as his #2/3 wrs and Robert Tonyan as his #1 te lol. Again, suggesting that it's an "excuse" to say they needed better wrs/tes to get over the hump in the playoffs is ridiculous... that's exactly what they needed... more fire power on offense to make up for the HORRIBLE defenses. - I mean Kevin King was a historically bad cornerback lol. That's just a fact - Rodgers never took responsibility? 🤣🤣🤣🤣.... now I KNOW you're lying because he ALWAYS was very critical of himself. Always said when he messed up. Just because he also held his teammates accountable for dropped passes or incorrect routes it doesn't mean he blamed anyone for anything lol. He's just honest unlike guys like Russell Wilson who just says "put this loss on me" after literally every loss because they want to appear like good guys in public. - Aaron Rodgers literally had a broken thumb on his throwing hand in 2022. He sustained the injury week 5 against the Giants on the final play. Pretending he wasn't injured is more proof you just simply hate him as a human being. - You also literally made up the narrative that Rodgers refused to throw to Christian Watson for 2 months 🤣🤣. In case you forgot, Watson was injured the first 2 months and missed 3 of the first 9 games and only played over 32% of snaps ONCE in the first 9 games 🤣🤣🤣. He was barely on the field the first 2 months lol. In the first 9 games here's his snap count.... Week 1- 66% Week 2- 32% Week 3- 0% Week 4- 25% Week 5- 29% Week 6- 0% Week 7- 0% Week 8- 9% Week 9- 23% Week 10 was the first week Watson actually played a near full game at 84% of snaps played and that was literally the beginning of that 7 td stretch of game you mentioned. Gee, I wonder if Watson essentially not playing the first 9 games had something to do with him not getting many targets the first 9 weeks?? Noooooo, it was because Rodgers hated him 🤦🤦🤦🤷🤷🤷🤣🤣🤣 Again... next time just type "I hate Aaron Rodgers" and save yourself the embarrassment of getting literally everything you said WRONG.
@thomasmoshier39202 ай бұрын
My, my, my, Adam. You’re particularly long winded today. But that’s the cross you have to bear as an Aaron Rodgers fanboy. Always making excuses. Thank the football gods Rodgers is finally with a top notch organization with a long history of winning. Oh wait, it’s the Jets, never mind. Here’s my prediction. If, and this is a big if, 40 year old Aaron Rodgers can actually make it thru a 17 game regular season, coming off major surgery, and with that make shift OL. I say he averages 215 yards per game. Throws somewhere around 28 TD’s and 12 picks. Virtually the same numbers as his last year with the Packers. With a 9-8 record as a best case scenario and a one and done wildcard playoff loss. And fanboy Adam will be right there cheering him on and making excuses as to why the Jets let him down….
