Thank you for saying this. I've been on the other end several times where I'm told...why didn't you answer your phone!? ...and it stresses me out. I do make time to get to my phone but don't want to always put my phone first before being present in the moment. (Emergencies are the exception to that)

I love the way Jackie Hill Perry reminds us of who God is and how we can get to know Him better. We live in a world and culture that always puts the emphasis on self; while it's practical and necessary up to a point, it can easily lead to a theology of the self without the need for Christ.
