A great compilation episode. My fave episodes were the snowstorm at the hut, making the yucca hammock (I wish I had one of those), episodes where you come up with great foods to eat, and building the firing kiln. That said, every episode is great and enlightening in their own way.

Really shows how important having elders was in ancient times. You're super capable, but without the knowledge they impart, you'd be doomed. Even the most basic gifts of clothing, a knife, a pot, a pouch, or a firebow could drastically improve your odds of survival. Truly one of our greatest powers was to care for our young.

Also, living simple life and learning to survive all alone in the wild is almost like a spiritual skill that can last several lifetimes. Material world just put us in a box within a concrete jungle and sold us all the shiny and bad stuff. But then, I also feel that without technology, we wouldn't be able to learn many things. Maybe we need proper balance.

I notice, as I cycle through the forest, plants of 'Soapwort growing & on closer investigation find remnants of ancient dwellings such as slate , lime mortar & early brick ! Also when the Horse Chestnut drops its leaves & seeds as they collect in the rain puddles , road traffic mashes them all up into a great soapy froth ! I wonder how many other plants would yield a soap alternative ? Thank you Mr Chad for another interesting video report !
@ChadZuberAdventures4 ай бұрын
There are many plants that can be used as soap. I've used several species of yucca, soap root, and the seed pods of a tree in Mexico (I forget the name). But there are many, many more all around the world.

I have enjoyed all content, it is such a wonderful and admirable lifestyle, but I thought I would drop my favorites as well: I quite like fishing ones, as well as anything to do with either gardening or plants; the use of plants in cosmetics (such as washing) is interesting, even if the plants that you use don’t grow here. Following this line, plants have plenty of medicinal uses too; showing them to be used as a herbal remedy for small ails would be interesting.

Your videos give me peace, because sometimes I also feel like spending time with myself amidst nature, away from the reach of humans, I live in a very crowded area, there are no such forest areas with privacy. There is human presence everywhere and most of the non-human forest areas are government forest reserves where it is illegal for humans to go. I Love my Contry INDIA But due to less population, people in most non-Asian countries are able to enjoy nature better and live in privacy amidst nature For this reason, I satisfy my mind by watching videos of you and other creators who create content amidst nature❤

I hope this reissue reaches more people... KZbin sucks sometimes for the content creators, the algorithm and audiences can be straight up stupid sometimes. Well ill do my part to help you keep this going and watch this again. If retention is an issue, maybe either branch out to more broadend primitive survival projects or more indepth projects that take multiple episodes to finish. Also maybe step back from doing some of the "same ole same ole", like making certain foods we have seen a dozen times now so maybe trying to branch out to different foods and preperations from either the same or some other resources around. Idk personally ill watch every video you put out as the whole premise is super interesting and i find it extremely useful as a resource for knowledge for when im out in the woods. Hopefully things turn around for you my friend, best of luck! I cant wait to see what new and exciting things you get up to in the future.

The question about how you get fecal stains out of suede pants as a valid question he’s not wearing any underwear. It’s an observation child questions about how you stay clean in a natural environment are valid. Also, it’s a discrepancy and the content is presented. Why doesn’t Chad make a series on how a primitive stay clean? I’m not trolling the lifestyle to answer your question. Just a piano. The kind of questions are questions. There are no bad questions. At least that’s what I was taught in college and grammar school that’s what kind of questions they are, no reason to be nasty and defensive your hero I wasn’t attacking and I wasn’t trolling so I was interested in how skin is cared for being that skin is the largest organ on the human body and infection is an actual thing in the wild. that’s what kind of questions they are.

while we were all doing nothing, a man built a house out of nothing in three years, and he lives like that just fine. Respect 🎉

You are great! Well this first hut reminded me the ones found at the shore of the Galilean sea in Israel. They are 23 millenia old! Truly the dawn of civilization! Okay, this phase completed, time to go further!

What’s more impressive, and you don’t see it obviously, is how he crafted the GoPro out of sticks and stones and a lemon for a battery.
