Thanks for watching this week's vlog! Vienna is such a cool city and their old school theme park in the center makes it even cooler. We love quirky attractions like Prater and we can't wait to visit other similar ones in the future! Next week we will be showing off the best food in Vienna, so don't miss it! - Brandon Anja

I just watched and commented on your NS video (being from Dartmouth as well) after randomly stumbling across it and now am watching your Austria videos. My husband is from Austria and we love it there. You have gained another subscriber!

That's awesome! We stayed in Vienna for about a month, but currently live in Budapest, so it's just a quick train away. Austria is incredibly beautiful, so we can't wait to explore more in the future. We have two other Vienna videos, so don't forget to check those out. 😉 Thanks for subscribing!

It is! It's a must if you make it over to Vienna. 😃

Great video! The Prater is in season from mid-March to the end of October. In winter, the rides and most restaurants are closed. Roller Coaster is nice to see. Next time try the Schweizerhaus. Not cheap either, but an institution in Vienna for "Stelze mit Senf, Kren und Krautsalat " 😉 Best regards from Vienna

Thanks for watching! We will have to try that next time. There are still so many rides as well that we wanted to try, but some weren't open. Hopefully we can go back soon. 😃

Looks quite cool! The roller coaster food place was different.

We love the park! The Rollercoaster restaurant was definitely interesting to check out, but a bit overpriced, unfortunately.

For the next time you're visiting the Prater I highly recommend the Schweizerhaus with it's signature dish: Stelze (best with Senf + Kren and sliced radish or Krautsalat as a side order). They also serve freshly tapped Budweiser (the Czech brand of course, not the American 😉). By the way prostitution is still legal in Austria (just for information). 😁

Thanks for the tips! Since we currently live in Hungary we actually still visit Vienna once in a while. Next time we'll be back for the Christmas markets. Can't wait to eat more food 😊

You guys should read a lot more around you, hahah. I was getting a bit "hangry" thou, when you set DIRECTLY under a sign of the best Stelze in Vienna and drank a goood beer, lol.

Hahaha. That's one of my favorite dishes too! We were trying to keep it light because we had the roller coaster restaurant planned. Which ended up being 💩. I'm sure the Stelze would have been much better. 😂

1 Euro for condiments would ruin it for me as well! Anja's burger looked delicious.

She hadn't told me she ordered them before hand, so that was a legit reaction. Absolutely ridiculous to charge for a condiment like ketchup as it is- bit €1 per tiny packet is absolutely nuts. 😵💫

Can we pay with credit card?
@wherearewe-yt Жыл бұрын
Most attractions are cash only. I think we paid the roller coaster with card- and of course the restaurants accept credit card as well. There are ATMs all over the park though.

We will have to try that place next time! Totally thought you were referring to that place we went for a beer that had that giant "pork knuckle" sign at the entrance. Hahaha. Guess that was Zum Englischen Reiter. That's actually one of my favorite German/ Austrian dishes! Thanks for watching our video Prater as well! 😃

I don't use the services of prostitutes, but it is a good thing, that it is legal. It is safer for everybody. They pay taxes and health care, are checked for std's regularily and don't have to think twice, when calling the police because of a violent costumer. The money finances a legit business instead of a crime syndicate.
