What a fun little jaunt! If after the bike fitting you find you still have knee pain, I found that adjusting the bicycles crank arm length on the pedals resolved mine. But it is a bit of an investment to try, depending on the bike. Hopefully your discomfort is something more simply solved!

Thanks for your video! On your knee pain, it sounds like your saddle is probably too high. Excess saddle height is a common cause of mysterious discomfort like this.

I had a front knee cap pain. Problems can vary from, as you already mentioned, poor sitting position on the bike (does the knee come too much forward over the toes at any position?), what is the pelvic position; to muscular imbalances, not enough gluteal activation/hamstrings strength; other biomechanical problems e.g. range of motion (deep squat with elevated heels for example helps me to keep the knee clicking away). It is rarely the problem with the knee itself. If possible, find a good physiotherapist, otherwise it can take you ages of trial and error to figure out what exactly is the problem.

Thanks for the information, luckily I have a physiotherapist who can help me with it. I am already feeling a lot better with my knee. Just a good bike fitting and I think I am good to go for a next adventure. :D
