First Time Building a Base in Project Zomboid, Any Suggestions?

I think you need to cover the windows and put a generator to have energy and thats it, just upgrade your level in carpintery

for easy extra storage, you can take apart metal shelves that are in the back of stores without needing any particular skills! just carry the two parts over to your cafe and set them up inside or outside :)

nice work but too many windows for me personally and no fences. look up gated community, muldraugh. its great because it already comes with a bunch of tall fences which you can start to wall off just one side of the house because the rest is already walled off and then you can try the streets and can have the whole neighborhood to yourself, plus its near a forest for wood and not too far from a lake to fish. every yard you can farm in. the neighborhood is not too zombie infested because its at the edge of the map in the sense that one side of the community is all forest

I prefer two story buildings and I usually search for a place with an east water access (like rivers, well and water pump) and some space to farm. It’s important to protect windows with planks

Why in Valley station? Are you planning to go to louisville? Or trying to take over the mall? What is your gameplan? Pretty well done base, somewhat rural, but still close to some good/decent looting spots. try to get some roof top acces. I personally like to have that, but its not really needed (since you cant farm on roofs in b42. Or at least its not recomended to turn on that setting. idk why. Also plumbing doesnt work) I would personally cover the windows, maybe put some planks or metal sheets up. Only a window is scary. Yes its very rural and probably noy many zombies, and you probably killed most if not all. But you never know. I would also switch out 1 fridge for a ''ice freezer'' or something with more freezing capasity. Freezing is always better then normal fridge. Get a bed. There are hotels and houses nearby, Just grab a bed. its way better then sleeping in a car, or on a couch. Overal pretty good base :)

really? you can't farm on roofs in build 42? thankyou bro, I will level up my metalworking and barricade the whole base with tall fences. The Cafe caught my attention, that's why i chose to build my base there since the location is near louisville, there's a near mall, and my favorite is the river. I will try to clear the mall to get some loot.

Use metal plank to barricade (wood isn’t enough) Make you’re water recycling up in the pixel from you’re sink Maybe a two store house would be better but you can upgrade it yourself so no problem with that You’re house need to be at least not to far from a city or lac, if this house have a wells bingo That’s all coming to my mind for now they’re plenty more thing to how to choose

a warehouse would 100% be semi better. Your main focus should be Somewhere where you can get materials from & food easy to access, but this store can work especially with a vehicle

But for a beginner player, small to medium sized building, perfect 2 story, especially once they find the sledge hammer and destroy the stairs. If not, single story with at least 2-3exit points boarding the rest and or fortifying. The + of having high fence if possible and outskirts of towns.

😂you been playing long enough I don't know why you asking this. For a challenge build in Louisville. Can base there very well, especially after the helicopter especially if your playing vanilla
