In today's episode we will be riding a motorbike around mountains of Northern Thailand (in Chiang Mai province), looking for camping sites where we could sleep in a tent (in the rain), meeting local people and enjoying local Thai food and street food!

I enjoyed this video and several other of your videos! I really enjoy the calm overall feeling of your presentation style, as well as how much of the actual journey you choose to include in your filming/editing. Your level of Thai language speaking (as well as English) is something for a Farang such as myself to aspire to. Currently I know about 90-100 words, and I can start to piece together ideas which Thai people seem to understand (especially food related 555) but I look forward to when I can have actual back-and-forth conversations with locals when I am there, as you can. Dear Mickey Stotch, I will give you tips for enjoyment in Thailand. You do not have to feel loneliness in any camping sites in Thailand. Thais are friendly. Just arrange a small party with the officials o there by bringing in some raw foods - cook , eat with them. They will provide cooking facilities for you. Sometimes, they give you a free jungle trip for free with them when they have a mission. ... Five months ago, I went to a Thailand's national park near Pai, Mae Hong Sorn province, officials come to invite me for socialisation - eating and talking. We enjoy a big meal. One of them bring me a local meal made from his wife. It is such a wonderful memory.

Hi Micky. I'm an Aussie and my wife and I visit Thailand regularly. We have been watching your videos since before COVID and never miss an episode. When you go "offline" occasionally having a well-deserved rest we miss you. Why do we like your KZbin vlogs so much? 1. - I ride. The bike footage is great. Thailand's roads are made to be ridden by motorcycle and when you do your travelling footage and the quiet music comes up my blood pressure drops about 20 points. I find myself leaning into corners with you. (Riders will know what I mean!) 2. - You love the food and you're not afraid to find something new or return to a place where you got great food years ago. I was calling to my wife, "Mickey's gone back to the donut place at Sukothai!" recently LOL 3. - For those who have visited Thailand (We're up to 44 provinces!) you videos take us back there and make the ordinariness of my working life in Australia tolerable. We will move to Thailand one day - perhaps soon. 4. - You find interesting places, not just the touristy places. Places where the real Thailand happens. We love travelling vlogs and we're terrible tourists - we fly into Chiang Mai or Trat or Surat Thani, hire a small car (my wife doesn't ride) and head off to make friends - and we have some great experiences. 5. - Other vloggers of Thailand that we watch include Paddy D (of course), Mark Weins (when he's in SE Asia), Danny and Diggy, Tim Newton Today (TNT) for news, Ryan and Mo (for a rural Thai Issan feel), and we also watch Lost in Laos with Todd for the travel and the great work he does with the poor. A lot of motorcycle vloggers jump on high-powered adventure bikes (a GS1200 BMW experience) and zoom past all the good stuff visiting 7-11s and Amazon Coffee - they get boring very quickly. I'd better stop now or I will become Leo Tolstoy 🤣🤣

We cycled through this wonderful country with our own bycicles brought from Austria. 🇦🇹 In 2000 we cycled up Doi Angkhan oh my goodness this was so breathtaking. I think at this time there was no possibility to sleep up there. We also cycled up Doi Inthanon. And today we fly to Thailand again for a four weeks holiday with our 11 year old son. Северный Таиланд офигительно красив. И даже местами и временами напоминает мне любимую сибирскую тайгу, верховье Лены, Саяны... особенно ранним утром, когда туман в распадках... (Общего мало, на самом деле))) наверное, после двух лет жизни в Таиланде моя ностальгия выискивает что-то "сэм-сэм"))) А видео очень хорошие. We love watching your videos, since about a year. I must tell you that your more recent and longer ones are exceptional. It feels like we (the viewer) are there with you on the adventure. It's like you now have a director and videographer with you!!! And yes, we know that's just YOU! Kudos for becoming a cinematographer. Your video are about the experience of being on the road!!! I've been traveling since the late 1980's, and it's refreshing to see videos that tell a travel story...not just hype. REAL travel shouldn't be glorified, but embraced and enjoyed.
