Would love to go back and see Big Bear and what it’s like in the daylight . We were over there (from Australia) in California a few years ago and had started on our drive from LA to Vegas and it was at the time when there were the big fires that blocked off the main highway, we had to take a huge detour through San Bernardino, Arrowhead and Big Bear to get to Vegas. It added on something like 5hrs to the trip (although the view from outside of ‘Rim of the World High School’ was amaaaazing. It was around midnight when we passed through Big Bear, but from what we could see it was everything you’d imagine a classic American ski/lakeside community to look like, it was surreal, especially to us Aussies! It was a hell of a mission but it gave us an awesome scenic route to travel :)

I love watching your adventures with Diesel. I suggest (if you haven’t already) getting and carrying a first aid kit geared towards animals. I’ve seen dogs get into the darnedest stuff, and it’s rarely near the car. In any event, keep the great content combing.

There are some cool trails behind the BB Discovery Center (or Activity Center) which I assume is closed. It's a slightly different landscape than the rest of Big Bear. On the side with the telescope. Glad to see that Big Bear is open for business. Great little town.

The US is a ideal country to tour and camp in with so many places to visit and enjoy. Great to see Diesel Dog enjoy himself so much and he probably is wondering how his life has changed so much, don’t worry if he dosent trust you 110% yet. You don’t know the level of abuse he suffered before you took him, might take a while. Now to camping, the only time I have done it was in the army, little sleep, no comfort and usually in minus weather, so I hated it lol

You will have alot of fun building out that van. If I was near I'd give you a hand. I build entertainer buses for the music industry. I just got layed off for the second time from the same company in 3 months time because the industry will not be coming back for awhile. I thought about doing some of those vans because it's just for personal use and so many people want them out west. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with as you build it. Have a blast!
