First Time Driving (My 16th Birthday)

Hey guys! On my 16th birthday, June 13, I took my permit test and then tried driving a car for the first time! I decided to set my camera up in the corner of my mom's car so that we could catch this milestone and laugh at it in the future. I definitely scared myself & my mom a few times.

We in Sweden usually take manual transmission license. It's like 10 times more difficult. Plus, we have to learn EcoDrive. Which is when you use the transmission less so it's better for the enviroment. And we have to wait til' we're 18 to take our license #jelaous

Manual can be frustrating at the start but manual drivers will be more confident and have better understanding of a car. Drivers who start learning on automatics finish learning driving part before manual drivers even go in that direction, because they need to learn how to propertly start the car, move it from place without engine stall, upshift and downshift gears and start moving on a hill.

It's okay, I remember my first time driving, it was sooo scary (by the way, I live in a country where manual is standard, we all learn driving manual/stick oh and I also live in the middle of a big city) and it was at a practice perking lot with an instructor and I literally felt the same way. It gets better though, you'll develop your own driving style and cues over time. It's really something that has to do with experience more than anything and in the beginning, driving is mentally exhausting, but trust me, you'll get used to it. Just remember to relax (*you* are the only one that has control over the vehicle while you're driving), stay defensive and don't rush and most importantly, have fun!

You cant get your permit until 16?? In my state and most states you can get it at 15 and a half. Just after my 16th birthday, a day after yours, i got my license. And lol my reactions were like the same as yours my first time driving

In the US, you get your learners permit as early as 14 and 9 months, and a learners permit means you can drive with a parent. Once you are 16 (or older if you got your permit later) you can take a road test for your license and drive alone!!

Abbey's Road it's different in different states. In my state we get our permit when we're 15 and 6 months. Driving is one of the few things that is determined by the state government instead if national
