Once you start with Eminem, you won't/can't stop. Do as many as you can. He does crazy like this, but can go so deep. You're probably too young to get some references, but that doesn't matter. Do the unedited version for ALL of them. Have fun, bro.

SSLP came out my sophomore year of HS, I was hooked. Live three times…MMLP1…best ever. I payed attention through MMLP2. These days he’s just trying too hard, either go away or get back on drugs. Hardcore drugged up Em was the GOAT…..now he’s such a liberal POS I don’t even pay attention. 8 Mile could’ve been 15 minutes long had he driven that car from shitty Detroit to West Michigan.

This music video came out at the height of pop's major resurgence in the late 90s and early 00s. A lot of the references were targeted at the most popular acts at the time--Britney, Christina, the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC. Carson Daly was the host of a top-10 video show on MTV called Total Request Live (TRL). Those acts were mainstays on TRL. Eminem was kind of an anomaly on that list since he wasn't pop singer. Fred Durst was another anomaly. He was the frontman of a nu metal band called Limp Bizkit who also had a couple breakthrough hits in an era dominated by pop. I think a lot of Eminem's early stuff benefits from context because it references pop culture so heavily.
@monkeysliveinspace10 күн бұрын
I just want to add, it's actually Fred Durst as himself in this video which is extra funny. I agree the context around the songs adds another layer to enjoying them.

Great reaction! You need to do more Eminem for sure!! Subscribed! Oh.. but if you do more Eminem.. there is 1 rule to reacting to Eminem.. YOU MUST ALWAYS look up the DIRTY/EXPLICIT/UNCENSORED versions.. NEVER the clean version! lol.. 2 reasons.. 1.. it makes a lot of Stan's angry if you don't lol ... and 2. His music is meant to be heard uncensored.. not Muted and/or Edited! TRUST ME!! haha

Dr Dre signed him when no one else would, being white.. During Em, or Marshall's, introduction speech into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Dre said they needed each other. They've been together since. Em does a lot of his own producing now. Has a new album coming out, Dre has contributed to about half the songs. So you know, there is Eminem, Slim Shady, and Marshall Mathers. Slim is the "dark' character who says anything he wants to. He was protested against and banned. He dealt with drugs, especially after his best friend, Proof, was killed but he just got his 16 year coin. His childhood was rough.. he was bullied to the point of being put into a coma .. but he is funny and has raised 3 girls and took in his half brother. (His mom had addiction issues and Munchausen syndrome by proxy) and so Nate was taken from her. He has one biological daughter, Hailey, adopted his niece (His ex wife's sisters daughter. And a daughter Kim had when they were divorced. ) Just telling you that in case you react to songs that will be confusing if you don't know. Anyway, a brief background. And, while some fans only like his older "Slim Shady" music. I favor the newer, music for the most part. Old stuff is good too. But I like his clever writing. (He got so into sleeping pills and such, his manager thought that he might have brain damage. After he got clean, he had to relearn how to rap.)

2:10 Em and Tom Green had a beef, don't really remember why. But Tom Green released a song called "The Bum Bum Song ("Lonely Swedish")" Green wears that costume in his own music video and Em is dissing him. Check out Tom Green - The Bum Bum Song for reference

The didn’t have a beef, Tom Green had a tv show on MTV where he used to do Al kind of crazy shit liking fcking a dead moose, and that was “ok” in the public eye while Eminem got cancelled for a lot less. And the bum bum song comes before Eminem’s music video, actually it’s ems why to diss that stupid song

you gotta react to his early stuff like this, it's much better than his newer. I recommend songs from his earlier albums sslp, mmlp and the eminem show. Also always do the uncensored version

Hol' up, now that you've done this, you should do 'the way i am' another classic by Eminem from the same album and then do 'mtv awards real slim shady / the way i am' live, it's a must. Eminem was unfuckwithable. Now, he's a bit overweight and runs out of breath live but other than that, his pen is better than ever, although i do miss the melodic flow he had were words were just blending together although it's constrained by simple bars compared to his technical rap he does nowadays that is basically limitless in terms of penmanship

The title of this video is fake or you where all this time under a stone. Pay attention if you react to Eminem because he could be Slim Shady or Marshall Mathers. Or in a rare moment B Rabbit. There was/is no rapper with more different flows/styles, better pen game, rhyme schemes, doubles, triples, quadruples, music production, telling facts, selling numbers and smart/good rappers you know don't diss Em even when Em tells them he is the best they won't do it. Em says and does things without limit. In almost every Em song things will go over head. Don't worry even the best can find new things in a Em song after hearing it 20 times. Just like in this song: Can you react to Eminem - No apologies kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZuadJeZmMZ6nKM
