Yes, we Band Maid fans call ourselves Maidiacs. I'm in my mid fifties and grew up on rock and am so happy to see these lovely ladies revive rock in a very refreshing way. Also, for me, I have always liked female vocals with rock music (Heart, Pat Benatar, Blondie, Patti Smith, etc.)

Hey, great reaction! If you want to see them live (which is always a good idea😅) I recommend Freedom! But any song will do 😊 If you want a more hard rock style song then it could be "Moratorium" or "Real Existence", both also live! These ladies are masters at their instruments: Kanami (composer and lead guitar), Akane (drums) and Misa (bass). Then there is lead vocalist Saiki who is perfect for the Band Maid sound and Miku Kobato (rythm guitar, pure energy, most lyrics, fantastic backing vocals and harmonies). Miku wasn't able to play the guitar when she founded the bandin 2013. I don't know of any other band where the fans' playlists differ so much. So, this is just a quite random selection of songs: For some very special live videos try Freedom, Play, Real existence and Endless Story. With Moratorium (Live at Zepp), Rinne (MV) and Dice you can hear more hard rock while more catchy songs are Choose me (MV), Bestie (MV) and Alone (MV). And if you want to hear some ballads then maybe About Us (MV) and Daydreaming (MV) are good picks. But don't miss some of their instrumentals like From now on (MV) and Onset (Live). And finally a very special live performance is Manners/Blackhole (Official Online Live)🍌 And there is more: For example the songs with Miku in lead, their christmas acoustic concert and the 'cover band' Band-Maiko ;-) But if you want to start at the beginning of their career (2013-2017) then go with Thrill (MV, their first video), Real Existence (second video), Alone (MV, first own composition), Freedom(best LIVE performance), Choose Me, Play (LIVE!), ... Nice reaction. All women bands rock. Yes they do, and Japan is not short of them, especially for metal. Japanese women, metal (mostly), rabbit hole activated. About 2/3 of these are all women bands, the other 1/3 are fronted by women. Not only can women rock they are the benchmark against which other rock groups are measured, IMO. No male rock band today touches Band Maid, IMO, either in the studio or live in concert. As I got older concerts became kind of a hassle for me, and I wasn’t hearing as many good rock bands that could possibly get me going to a show. And I’d seen all the older bands live so I didn’t need to see them again. The last show I had been to was Roger Waters when he did The Wall in it’s entirety in 2010. Then I found Band Maid in 2020! They re-ignited my hope for the future of rock, and, as the restrictions started to lift 2 years later, Band Maid announced a US tour! Nothing was going to stop me from going to see them, and I did in October, 2022 in D.C. The place was packed to capacity and the show was one of the best I’d ever been to! Bucket-list item: checked off!

Your assumption about Maidiacs is correct. Band-Maid actually played a Slipknot song during one of their rehearsals. I believe the video of it is still online. I am suggesting that you check out their newest live videos from Yokohama Arena. There are a few bangers and a tear jerker. All good!
