👉This song is Dimash’s calling card. That is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears (That is what Dimash calls us fans.) The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and in 2017 made Dimash a mega-star overnight. That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. He has trained constantly, and even strengthened his range....So I suggest you go to his YT channel and pick something more recent. During the pandemic, Dimash produced a digital concert for his fans (known as "DEARS") you will find most of his most famous music there, and the quality is great, and with English subs. He is genre defying. You are about to go on a music journey of a lifetime if you pursue Dimash performances - music videos, concerts, mini-movies, performance art and original productions. As Dimash was first introduced to to music while residing in his mother's womb, (she is an accomplished opera singer & father is a singer and music producer), he has been lucky enough to be have been born to the stage. Welcome to the world of Dimash! I really really liked watching your reaction! I can see that you will enjoy Dimash's other songs. He has been studying music since he was 5 years old and absolutely loves music! At the time of this performance, he had been singing this particular song for at least 5 years and perhaps more. He trained in opera (classical music) but also in contemporary music. Though he was offered a position at the opera in his country, he turned it down as he preferred to mix musical genres and to use his full vocal range to make his own style of music. Dimash sings crossover, and yes he trained for years in opera as well as classical jazz and pop. He has a Masters Degree in Musical Composition, and can turn any cover into a masterpiece. SOS is from a French rock opera, that Dimash has used as a signature song since he was 12-15. He was onstage at 2 and realised that this was his destiny, and learned piano and singing at 5 years old at an academy in his homeland Kazakhstan, and practises for 3 hours a day ever since, swims underwater to develop his diaphragm for 1 hour per day, and bursts out in song lots of time per day, so his voice is always warmed up. I don’t think anyone else has ever done all this before, and you can see the benefit of all that focus and drive that he was born with. As well, he learned soccer and Tai-kwan-doe, and is 6ft 3” tall, and can stretch his breath out until tomorrow, has extra long vocal chords, etc., etc.

Dimash began his classical/operatic vocal training at age 5. He continued training through age 25. He is known to vocalize and train instrumentally 6 hours a day. He is considered to be the greatest vocalist in the world. He rarely sings operatically but does from time to time. He has also trained to sing contemporary and pop singing. He loves Michael Jackson and you will see MJ flavor in some of the performances of Dimash. His vocal range is now between 7 and 8 octaves He is from Kazakhstan and is Eurasian. He is tall, athletic, caring, loving and an overall good guy.

Dimash leaves everyone speechless because his vocal talent is like nothing we've ever heard before. He is opera trained as his mother was an opera singer and his dad was also a singer. This song alone (SOS) he covers over 4 octaves. His transition between low, middle, and high registers is impeccable and as smooth as butter. Your next thoughts are "Why haven't I heard of him before and why isn't he everywhere". Every song you hear from Dimash will blow you away again and again and again. In every song Dimash reaches in, grabs your soul and takes you on an incredible vocal ride every time. You just got a small taste of what Dimash can do and it's wonderful isn't it?. I love your reaction and even though it had several interruptions they were just perfect because that's how my mind was listening to that song for the first time. I couldn't get it out of my head that he was that perfect. Then after listening to all his other songs, I find out he's perfect all the time and still gives me goosebumps. You should do more. Olympico and Stranger would be good choices but there's many to choose from. He is so talented that it takes several songs to appreciate how much Dimash knows about performing.

You’ve seen nothing yet, this is only a warm up song for Dimash he’s simply the best in the world ever. He sings genres from rap to opera, there’s nothing he can’t sing, perfectly. Try stranger next, it’s in english but shows a bit of his lower notes cause this isn’t his highest or lowest notes, no where near, your actually in for a shock but I must warn you that Dimash is very addictive, I’ve been a Dimash addict for 4 years now

Hi. I hope you have recovered from the shock. For me (as I have told in previous comments to Dimash reactions) it took several weeks to accept that Dimash was a real person and not a cyber attack against my computer. And this is no joke! Professionals say that one should be happy and greatful if one is lucky enough to experience the so called Florence/Stendhals syndrom, triggered by an incomprehensible piece of art. And yes, when the shock, anxiety, fears, disbelief and numerous physical symptoms had passed, I was happy and greatful for the experience and my new wonderful addiction! 😱😲😁

Hijo de una soprano y un cantante pop famoso en Kazajistán, estudia música y canto desde los 5 años, se graduó en canto lírico (le ofrecieron cantar como tenor en la ópera Astana, pero prefirió hacer carrera como cantante popular) y contemporáneo, tiene un máster en composición musical, está haciendo un doctorado en musicología, multi instrumentista, canta en 12 idiomas y te llega directo al alma en cualquiera de ellos, su registro llega a más de 7 octavas! Dimash is the best in the world. He started his vocal training at age five years old, daily. He has perfect pitch along with 6 Octaves plus 2 semi notes. That was at this time frame. He has redone this song 2021 if you watch it you will hear the difference in his vocals he has added to his Octave plus 2 half notes. ( I hope I have the correct information on this) he sings any genre he chooses, and mixes genres within a single song. You might enjoy his tribute to MJ.
