@@whattiler5102 I was only 5'10"/ 14.5 stone and surprisingly slow. All you need is a massive neck, thighs, and shoulders. If your hips are below your opponents you can drop 18 stone men all day long. Big men fall easy and they can't get low enough to compete in rucks.

The head guard is called a scrum cap and it isn’t really protecting the head, it’s protecting the ears so they don’t get cauliflower ears, or even have them ripped off. It’s illegal to hit the head, indeed tackles must be below the shoulders. Anything on here not conforming to that is illegal. Different positions mean different size and build of body, so all sizes are found on a rugby field. You can find a video on the laws of rugby on KZbin. The Rugby World Cup was played a couple of months ago in France (for Nations), it is the third biggest event after the Olympics and the Football World Cup. You might want to checkout Sebastian chabal from France ( the caveman) Or jono lomu from new Zealand. Both great players. Games like this are just what we are used growing up in Australia fast and physical. Other games like afl( Australian football league) or rugby league you might also find interesting.

If you look for a video called "Rugby for beginners: a guide to the rules of rugby union" it will give a good intro. But note there's actually 2 types (called Codes) of Rugby ... Union and League which have slightly different rules (called Laws). Probably the biggest difference is that Union has 15 players whilst League has only 13.

There are two types of Rugby, Rugby Union which is what you just watched and Rugby League which is probably more easier to understand because of its similarity to NFL thats the game I preferred to play though have played both I felt Rugby League was more physical but both games are great. Some simple rules are you can only pass backward, no forward passes, but you can kick it forward. Play is continuous unless there are penalties given or serious injuries so your fitness level has to be pretty good. ''Rugby Hits Till I Collapse'' ( mainly Rugby League clips) is a good video to watch on youtube.

Cte has become more of a problem in Rugby League & Rugby Union, both codes are making changes to protect players, but playing a contact sport there's always going to be issues with injuries etc
