First Time Ever this Rainbowfish has been Auctioned!

Gary Lange was in town visiting the Greater Seattle Aquarium Society and I brought home a ton of new rainbowfish, including one that has never been auctioned before and nearly went extinct in the wild if not for the amazing help of a group of scientists!

Bentley, I am setting up my first rainbow tank. I have a 4 ft. acrylic aquarium and I'm planning on two sponge filters and two aquaclear 70's for filtration. I also plan on plenty of plants but no substrate. what is your opinion and if it's not good, what should I change. thanks for your reply

It all depends on how you plant to plant. It ifs anubias/java ferns on wood/rock then bare bottom is fine. If you want to use planters, also fine for pretty much anything else. Just make sure there's good swimming room for the Rainbows. I typically do this by putting minimal (or very short) plants up front of the tank and filling my stems/lotus/etc in the back. This encourages the rainbows to swim in front. Your filtration and tank sounds great (hopefully it's a deeper tank to give even more room!).
