It's better for you to buy an e-Money card at Indomaret or Alfamaret. 1 card can be used for all! You can even pay for groceries at Indomaret/Alfamaret, tolls, parking in addition to the costs of all public transportation services in Jakarta and can be refilled anywhere!

The Train and technical systems are manufactured by PT.INKA (Indonesian National Railway Industries).. the Civil & Architacture works by PT.Adhi Karya (State owned Company).. and operated by PT.KAI (Indonesian Railway Company).

Renting rate at apartment in Taman Rasuna is affordable.. it's a residence for the middle class.. lots of people from India, Pakistan, Malaysia live there.. Another place that is quite cheap to rent but the environment is ok and close to the KRL Bogor Line station is KALIBATA CITY... try going there...

11:10 to answer this question, most of the working middle class is living on the outskirts of Jakarta or the satellite towns around it (Depok, Tangerang, Bogor, or Bekasi), that's also what causes the infamous traffic congestion as there's around 996,000 vehicles going in and out of Jakarta daily, and more than 952,000 people taking the KRL every day (BPS data from 2023), not counting other methods of transportations (Bus/Busway, LRT, etc.).

If you have any of these cards: e-money/flazz/brizzi/jaklinko/tapcash, those cards can be used for LRT, KRL (commuter line), MRT, BRT busses (transjakarta, also good for BRT in Medan and Bali), Jaklinko micro busses (Jakarta), toll roads (nation wide), parking (nationwide, check logo), and shopping (nationwide, check logo). You don't need to keep buying new cards.

there are two kind of LRT lines in Jakarta. One you have tried named LRT Jabodebek which operated from and to South Jakarta linking to suburbs as Bekasi and cibubur areas (to and fro), and the other is LRT Jakarta operated in Centre Jakarta' linking Pulomas area and Manggarai area. the last said is under construction, so you can go from Pulomas to Velodrome and stop here. By the way the poor in Jakarta you can explore it in the Kampungs namely Jatinegara Dalam, Kampung Melayu, Rorotan in Northern Jakarta and so on. there are few kampungs.

This one is a purple & green lines or LRT Jabodebek have more than 12 stations each line. Btw this LRT, LRT Jabodebek, they should've got in the category of MRT not LRT cause they have 6 cars in one set, LRT by the category is 4 cars in one set max. This LRT is even bigger than the Manila MRT, its confusing.
