Awesome video! Never been to Hesperia lake yet but will add it to the lakes to visit this year. Plus I bought me some jigs from Ultralight Heavyweights the other day as well! Felt like a kid at a candy store!

I’m a local and new to fishing , on your mini jig set ups are you running any weights or bobbers? My sons been watching a ton of fishing videos and wants to get into fishing but we’ve had a couple crap days with no fish at Glen Helen

Hey Jesse 😃 So to explain the mini jig set up, the jigs are essentially “lead dipped hooks,” if you look up tube head jigs you’ll see what im talking about. Sizes vary from 1/100th to 1/8th, but in our IE shallow lakes, 1/64th to 1/32 is usually ideal for jigging. The laker and og “mini” on the videos are plastic skirts that slip onto the jig. If you’re planning to mini jig, try going to the ultralightheavyweight store for an affordable customized kit. Ask for Jorge. 2601 Del Rosa Ave Ste. 111 San Bernardino, CA 92404

I put up a couple videos on the dropshot setup that is pretty much foolproof for kids. Take them during cooler weather like 7am or 5:30pm, put them on the set up and they’ll be on a decent bite.

Been to sana ana, yuccipa ,and fisherman's retreat and always skunk out during trout season😕 catch loads of fish on trout magnets but no trout 😂

go to rancho jurupa on stock day. they’ll let you fish an hour after stock, usually around 1. Cast around the entire lake, you’re bound to hook up.

Oh i thought you were clowning too 😂 dragonfly rod with a sienna. To answer your question, 1000% 👌🏾 spool it up with some two lb izor nice and tight to 1/8” before the bend on the rool spool, take the spool reel out and let it soak overnight with hot water.

oh gotcha! lol I didn’t but the guys next to me did, salmon peach, 10” leader, about 20 -25 feet out. I only caught on jigs.

Man that means alot! If you don’t want to invest too much, believe it or not, the light action shakespeare micro series would be where i would start. Its not too whippy like the celilo. 500 series sienna and you’re set!
