Velocidrone has helped me very much. Also my tiny whoop helped me get used to flying through the goggles. I've been flying about five months now and I love it. Getting pretty good with my 5". Keep it up man don't give up! Also if you do happen to use velocidrone watch Steele's video on his settings. It makes it feel not as floaty.

That was pretty funny, always enjoy your humor. Super cool that you continue to try new things. FPV piloting is not for everyone, and I can imagine you don’t care for it too much. I really don’t either. Between reading glasses and constant repairs, setup, tweaking and gear, it’s not for me either. I have HUGE respect for FPV pilots too! I enjoy watching them acrobatically take on difficult obstacles and new environments. To each, his own. 🤙🏻

There is no going back now !! I have the Inspire 1.2, P3 Pro and the Mavic Pro Plat. and I fly 99% of my time with my racing drones. The 100 mph acrobatic flying makes my 65 year old heart pound. The whoop is the best place to start. SONOFAB!T@#

Good job man! Welcome to a whole new world of drone flying! When you feel more comfortable flying the whoop, you should try to build a 3 or a 5 inch setup. You'll have much more control authority and they will feel better than the whoops in the air.

I’m told it just takes practice but for now I think I’ll stick to my dji camera drones. This is pretty much exactly where I am at now. I am proficient enough on the tech side, can finally solder reasonably, can just about fly in angle mode, but have to get into acro mode now. I have a couple whoops now including a Beta85 too! About to check your feed and see where you are up to now! Oh wow, snaptain, also check my snaptain vid! I have modded one for FPV to learn! Mad you should have this at the end......just listening as I type to your wife flying it! LOL

Ken you can use the Betaflight and reset your drone, get the "Project Mockingbird" setting and copy that into the CLI (command line interface). Your stabilized mode with be much easier to fly even in the house. Have a great day.

A brushed whoop can be a tough option to learn acro on. It lacks the power to get itself out of a lot of situations. Every time you did a flip or roll the quad simply couldn't get itself back in the air. I would suggest getting a mobula 7 for learning acro.

i know just how you felt trying to learn fpv...i just started myself and purchased a few cool quads like the eachine us65 and the happymodel mobula7...tried acro but i like you need a ton of practice...i had a emax tinyhawk2 before i got these and put it in horizon mode and it flew away...lol...had to go and reorder another to replace it,now im back to stability mode until i get a lot better at flying these things.

Ken, when setting up try to use a mode with the name Acro Trainer. It gives you the acro feeling with a angle limit. To change th angle limit go to the pid tab.

If I could offer a piece of advice. Start off slowly and be methodical with your fpv training. Throttle control is probably the hardest thing to grasp. That brushed Whoop doesn’t have enough power to do what you want it to do. You have an idea of how to fly because of camera drones so get something with a little more power. Focus on single elements of flying for weeks at a time. 1. Fly straight lines with your primary focus on maintaining altitude while using a reference to gauge height. 2. Learn coordinated turns. 3. Learns rolls and flips last.
