In swimming they say to learn all of the strokes. Just to get a better feel for the water. Anyways I’ve seen that in a lot of other things as well. I’ve gotten into sim racing just to get better at line choice. I might try 3d one day but not anytime soon lol. Whoops are really challenging I fly horizon inside and I still have to be fast on the sticks.I’m surprised I didn’t see any yaw wash!

Nice video. What I really like about the 75mm whoop class in particular is that I can rip my back yard every day it's not raining or snowing. I can't do that with my 5inch. So I can actually fly the 75mm every day. No bad run-ins with idiots at the park, and I can fly it 20x as often as a 5 inch.

The thing with objects moving in a scaled down version of the trajectory they would’ve been moving is that because gravity and friction does not get scaled down, things happen way faster than they would on a larger scale, for example if you set a pendulum with an arm length of 30 feet and set another with the arm length of 3 feet and pull them up to the same angle and relase them, the 3 feet long pendulum will do multiple swings while 30 feet one is tryna complete one swing cuz the gravity acting to the small pendulum is way more relative to it’s size than the big pendulum that has a larger size in the same environment. Micro quads in general are the same story, you actually need to mostly what you do with a 5 inch but in fraction of the time. If you were to dive a skyscraper instead of a playground slide with a whoop you’d realise how much slower it actually falls compared to a 5 inch other than being hard to recover due to the ducts. Tinywhoop simply appears to fall faster cuz with 5 inch you are diving a 3 story building height and you are diving a one and a half adult person tall playground slide with the tinywhoop. I would recommend getting used to ridiculously high rates like near 2000 degrees per second with your 5 inch comfortable drone if you struggle with the whoop, then use the same fast rates on your whoop to fly it like how you used to fly the 5 inch back in your slow rates but do everything in the fraction of the time

In my humble experience is the big difference isbthrottle control. Whoop you gotta re learn throttle. Maybe not re learn but handle it differently. The lighter the whoop the more responsive.

tiny whoops are great imo they teach you so much about recovering from almost crashes :D also why does everyone think that heavy quads drop faster than light quads? weight doesnt effect that or does it?

I think gravity has a hand in it. Whoops are fun, just very different from 5” quads
@bluefpv3263 Жыл бұрын
@@Kmart_FPV heavy objects fall at the same rate (or speed) as light ones the acceleration due to gravity is about 10 m/s^2 everywhere around earth so all objects experience the same acceleration when they fall only thing that might make it feel a whoop droping different from a 5" is drag and maybe idle motor rpm? i know myself that it feels different but i think its caused by the fact that you whoop closer to objects and the ground in general

The reason that it feels like it drops quicker is actually BECAUSE it is lighter. The lower mass causes it to have less inertia: gravity can pull it downwards much quicker than a heavier quad.
@HOOOPER3 ай бұрын
Sort of... But less inertia lets drag kick in quicker and lift to be lost. Gravity doesn't "kick in" it's always pulling

I have a tinywhoop, absolutely hate it. I got it to learn to fly 'for real' in addition to the sim. Then I found that it flies nothing like a real quad anyway, so I should have just spent the money on extra batteries and maybe some replacement frames for my 3.5" quad. It's basically like flying a twitchy brick rather than a quadcopter.
@Kmart_FPV Жыл бұрын
Agreed. For the longest time, I only flew my whoop on angle and really just to terrorize my dogs. It wasn’t until this quad and the WeBleedFPV batteries that make me feel confident to try tricks
@JohnSmith_1331 Жыл бұрын
@@Kmart_FPV I've eliminated about everything except the batteries and the idiot behind the sticks. I started with a mobula 6 and upgraded to bt2.0, a different frame and 31mm props (basically everything Ciotti recommends on Bardwell's page). After that I swapped out the motors for ex802s to save weight and even got a fractal 75 frame. With the fractal frame and no prop guards it almost feels like a bigger quad, but no prop guards. So I went back down to a 65 whoop frame and smaller props. But I still feel like it falls like a stone any time I try to do anything except simple flying. It's possible that I need new batteries, when I got it I didn't know you aren't supposed to leave them charged and they stayed fully charged for weeks.
