How he gets multiple sounds from the keyboard is based on velocity. The keyboard can detect how hard he pressed the keys, and if he pressed hard enough, and with the settings he uses it will play that drum sound. Love the genuine reactions keep it up :)

Great reaction, Frank, in my opinion, is probably the best pianist I’ve seen do this type of thing. If you haven’t checked it out yet, I would recommend taking a look at his collaboration with Rob Lands. It’s amazing!

Actually there was another classically trained pianist from Spain that was just as good as Frank on YT for a while. His name and channel was Nevy. But he quite doing it and also took his channel down. There’s another channel that uploaded all his videos. He just didn’t gain the traction like Frank. Of course, he didn’t have the chance to do a video with Marcus, which really helps. Plus, Frank’s more charismatic and outgoing also.

The synthesizer that Franck uses allows, by pressing hard on a key, to have an accompaniment with percussion. By pressing more gently on the same key, we keep the note and the instrumental effect chosen without having the percussion. At the musical level, Franck is in my opinion the most talented of all KZbin musicians (if we except concert musicians). Marcus mainly plays by ear, but he doesn't have the playing flexibility of Franck.
@VeeElJay2 жыл бұрын
I agree 100%. Frank is more fluid in the way he plays. Exceptional!

Frank is a composer, he has perfect pitch, and he's got a great personality. I sub to him on twitch and youtube. He is very cool indeed. His Keyboard is a very intricate piece of equipment. His keys are percussive. which essentially means, if he hits them hard/fast it makes a drum sound. Also his keyboard has pretty much every sound in the history of the universe.
@danpianovlogs2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I’m a big fan of Frank too. But in one of his videos, he said he doesn’t have a perfect pitch. He got what it’s called relative pitch though.

Frank Tedesco (b. 1992) is an American composer for games, film, and other media. His compositional style often focuses on melodically-driven themes and ideas, strong percussive elements, and rhythmic electronics. He cites a few of his top musical influences as Nobuo Uematsu, David Wise, Koji Kondo, and Hiroyuki Sawano. Frank is also a classically trained pianist and a KZbinr. Frank is a graduate from The Hartt School of Music, where he majored in Composition and gained experience composing for games, film, commercials, and chamber ensembles. A highlight during his time at Hartt was composing and performing a piano piece for the current President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame.

The Guy talking about the "One Piece Yo Ho Ho Ho" song is actually talking about the Song "Binks' Sake" from the Anime "One Piece." Haha finally you found frank. Hes good friends with Marcus amd has been in a few of his videos when he does the 3 piano players. His keyboard has that digital screen above it for selecting all the different instrument sounds. If he presses the keys hard enough they will signal the drums sounds one selected instruments. He can also process the mic thru it like the one song while playing the synth. He's a great musician all around and his live loop renditions on some of his other videos are awesome. This is one of his earlier Omegle videos, where he is using a Korg Kronos, he probably has some presets set up for the songs he's playing, including keyboard splits - but in later ones he takes requests, and if he doesn't know it, he'll listen for a minute or two on his phone - then proceed to crush it!

So here’s the thing to know. Most pop music is constructed the same way or with a few variations and he is very good so if he has the cords and the melody, he pretty much can rebuild it from scratch. I’m not downplaying his skill I’m just explaining how someone with that much scale is able to build back a song so quickly.
