I am on e85 and I love it - def feel the extra power, but WOW cool to see head to head against another 86 on 91. I didn't realize it gave that much extra umph. Too bad about your misshap with the debris in the road and the front end - but on the bright side, at least your wrap protected the paint from getting damaged!

Try to take it to the city and get ur car fixed, if the dmg is rly bad. Specially if it’s in a construction zone. It doesn’t hurt to try and not pay anything out of ur pocket.

You would have to take pictures of the construction site, where ur car got damaged, what damaged ur car at the site. When all that is done, you take what evidence you have from the site and dmg of ur car to the city. To be honest the construction zone has to be safe for drivers to drive thro, if not then its a hazard that can cause an accident.

Whenever i swap tunes with OFT it takes a few days for the accelerator pedal to re-learn what its supposed to do.

You just turn the car key to accessory mode and press the gas pedal about 50 times.

@@lopezalexandra To force it to relearn quickly: press the start button twice but dont turn the car on, then press/depress the pedal completely 20 times. Turn car off, then repeat one more time. This will help relearn the throttle position a lot quicker then just driving normally.

I swear that’s a myth because I did exactly that and my throttle delay was so bad my auto stalled and died when I came to a stop. The next time I flashed it I didn’t do any throttle presses at all and the response wasn’t as bad

That’s not bad, I’ve owned my Sti for 3 months and have put 3k into it so far and haven’t touched the engine. Lip, side skirts, oem splash guards, rear spats, rear diffuser, f1 brake light, wing stabilizers, carbon license plate back, carbon trunk trim, red and black emblems, oem black fender badges, vortex gen, rain guards, shift knob, hood scoop overlay, nameless 5in axle back, perrin engine dress up kit. License plate relocate, license plate delete. I’m not gonna bother with any power mods until my stock engine kills over at some point then replace it with a cosworth long block and go for power.

Before I sold my brz I was fbo e85 with oft tune and I loved it! Just make sure to drive it easy for 12 miles below 3200 rpm once you tune to e85 and each time you fill up with e85!

Yes no other requirements. Just follow the steps she did in this video. Wait until your gas light comes on, fill up on E85, drive for about a mile at low RPM’s while monitoring your short term and long term fuels on the OFT. Once they’re about +20 then you can stop and flash the car to the E85 tune. It’s also good to drive the car around safely so it can get used to tune and E85 before you start doing some pulls. If you want to go back to 91 it’s the same exact process you’re just flashing back to whatever tune you normally run for 91.

In order to run E85 do you just need to install new headers then tune it???? Or do you need anything else before you can run e85?

You dont need headers to run E85. You need a tune and you need to upgrade the fueling for your car in order to run e85. When I say fueling, I mean fuel rails, the fuel pump and fuel injectors. Definitely not worth it if you arent boosted. Good luck.

i want to go e85 on my Z but there is only 1 e85 station within a 70 miles radius.. Guess ill jst always make sure i refill at no less than a quarter tank lol. Crazy what a fuel swap can do, enjoy!

I have a similar situation- the station is 67kms away (I'm in Canada!). I put two Jerry cans in my trunk (that's all I can fit) that way I don't have to go as frequently. Highly suggest!

Youll need bigger injectors and a proper timing adjustment to really get the most out of it. Definitely worth it to run cooler.. But don't be thinking youre saving money though 😂
