Could you make a video about the difference between all the words that mean "equal" or "same" like "一緒", "同じ", etc...?
@TragicGFuel4 ай бұрын
"一緒" I always thought this meant together, not necessarily same/equal. I have seen it used that way though.
@pedrohenriquemarchesini57603 ай бұрын
@@TragicGFuel no, at least in casual Japanese when people want to say they feel the same about something, or even when there is a physical semblance they use it
@pedrohenriquemarchesini57603 ай бұрын
@@TragicGFuel but it also means together, I'm not saying you are wrong (ex: これからも一緒に頑張ろう!)
@TragicGFuel3 ай бұрын
@@pedrohenriquemarchesini5760 yeah absolutely, its more like grouping things together. Saying "X and Y are in the same bucket". Lots of nuance, but as a rule of thumb for beginners, saying 一緒 is more of a grouping thing helps differentiate it at the beginning. Nuance can be understood later.

Sometimes, the room is busy or loud, or the person introducing themselves mumbles their name, or I simply don't catch their name the first time (this happens especially when names have 3 or more syllables 😅). In such a case, I would like to ask the person to repeat their name for me so I'm sure I get it correct. How would you say this in a "proper" or "normal sounding" way? Currently, I tend to stick to 「あー、ごめん(なさい)、(お名前は)もう一回お願いします」, but I feel like that's incorrect.
