This is one of my favorite Pac songs. Brenda can be anyone who feels lost in the world with no guidance. A song also that you should check out is "Breathin" from Until the end of time album. It's a different type of song, but smooth melody with Pac fire. One that you'll wanna memorize.

The image of you watching this song while holding your baby girl (she is beautiful btw) is awesome brother. One of the messages of the song is stories like this wouldn’t happen if there are strong men in the lives of these babies. God bless. 🙏

Being the father of 3 daughters, and Papa T, to my 2yr old granddaughter....... I totally agree and guarantee that you were speaking the truth when you say when your kids become of age please let them hear this. I am an OG and when this came out I was in junior high. But the message is most definitely more relevant now more than ever 30 + years later😮🤔😢😢 unfortunately😢

I know this was months ago but I'm on a Tupac binge. Had to comment that it makes me feel good that you were so affected by the video and it's message. There will always be lowlifes who will prey on young girls and in this case she apparently had mental challenges which made her even more vulnerable. Always loved Tupac as he had so many moments of great storytellings and compassion.

You right bro. This was so sad….poor Brenda never had a chance at life..Tupac saw this story in a news article and on the news..it hit him so hard..he wanted to get the message out..this song went all the way to Washington..this song changed laws..schools had to even fine parents if there kids not in school often cause they wanted to physically see the welfare of kid..this is the only song ,rap, that went to the Vatican archives..HISTORY..at least the baby is still alive..but Brenda tried her best to raise her child when she got the baby out of the garbage..but her parents did not want her anymore

This is the song you get a Pac-Denier to listen to to turn their opinions upside down. They've never heard a song that has ever made them feel that way before. There isn't another song in existence like Brenda's Got A Baby. It quite possibly the most important song ever made.

I don't want to dilute Tupac's legacy but whenever I hear a story in music I call it a "2pac style" song because I associate him with story telling in music. Dude didn't have the best flow or lyricism but he had the deepest stories. Things like this, changes, and I ain't mad at Cha, are all things people should hear in their lifetime.
