It’s Pac first single . This is a very young Pac. He saw the story of Brenda in the newspaper on the set of Juice. So he wrote this song about it. Brenda is real .

Pac would always throw a name of another song in his lyrics Feels like a continuation or a relation to the song ur listening to When he mentions her dad being a junkie and putting death into his arms he says you must "Resist the Temptaion" Thats another song I recommend Goes into the crack epidemic

Stuff Reax…you did a great review….Tupac read a lot of books and newspapers..he also watched news all the time..he saw this story on the news and wanted to highlight teen pregnancy..this song went all the way to Washington..IT CHANGED LAWS..now they got it to where the echo gotta watch for signs, if kids not coming to school, the parents get a letter and may have to go to court..also if you receive stamps and welfare for children the system have to do welfare checks in homes..THIS IS ONE OF THE ONLY RAP SONGS THAT MADE IT INTO THE HALL..

Wow! That is incredible. Was he still alive to see that in effect? And see his song make a difference? Or had he already passed?

Listen to “Ode To Billy Joe” by Bobbie Gentry. It’s another song about casual apathy like the beginning of this song. It also tells a story.

Heyyy I just wanted to come here and ask if you would react to Joshua Bassetts Ep called “sad songs in a hotel room” it comes out September 23rd so in exactly a week. It’s only 6 songs long. He wanted to release it before his album. I wanted to give a little back story to it bc it’s important. So he just played his first ever 3 live shows and he played every song from the ep except the title track so that it the first song on the ep and the only one we haven’t heard. 2. So to start the song LA he played it early last year for a virtual concert and put that on KZbin but never officially released it. To keep it vague this song was just written in a time when he was going through a lot yk in every aspect of his life kind of at the beginning of all that drama and just when so much happened. It’s just more about mental health. 2. The song smoke slow was a single released last month (that’s all I’ll say😭) 3. Used to it, this song we hadn’t heard anything about it but he played it at his live shows and all that I will say it seems it’s about a specific person probably brunette but let’s not focus too much on that aspect of the song and more so what he was going through in the song. 3. Lifeline, this song he teased in may and played at the live shows. It’s a song to his mom when he was dying in the hospital last January yk all that awful timing and the drama happening while he was dying. But yeah he wrote it for his mom about his hospitalization and honestly it’s HEAVY. I also prefer the live version. It’s so good live. 4. All in due time he also teased on tik tok in may (he also teased smoke slow) but basically this song is about his mental health during last year when things were super rough for him. Now I’m just going to quote a few things he said about the ep☺️ "It's really one of my favorite projects, actually, it is my favorite project I've ever put out to date, and I stand behind every song. Each one means something completely different." Joshua describes his upcoming EP "Sad Songs In A Hotel Room" as a "stepping stone" to his first album. “Sad Songs In A Hotel Room comes from a transient period of my life, when I was constantly moving from hotel to Airbnb to a friend’s place, while also juggling some intense personal growth and change” “Each of the songs in this EP tell a different part of the story from that time; each with a different perspective. In some ways, these songs feel like a bridge from one chapter of my life to the next, and I felt an urgency to put them out as I finish my debut album.” Among all his past projects, from a Disney+ series to a multitude of singles, Joshua Bassett says his upcoming release is his favorite one yet. star did not detail the specific inspiration behind each track, although he noted that the songs are "authentic, honest" and something fans haven't seen from him before. He said some songs were written as far back as two years ago, while others were composed six months ago.
