I love these early songs because you can hear them developing their own artistic direction. They were mimicking bands and group styles from the 1960s, but you can hear them moving into what would become Dancing Queen and other amazing ABBA songs.

Because I am Scandinavian, I do not hear any commercial in this song. I think it is a catchy, good song!

Abba can cleverly compose their music in so many styles... This early one is much like a Beatles style.

If I'm not mistaken you haven't reacted yet to "Lovers (Live A Little Longer)" from the Voulez-Vous album. It has one of ABBA's sexiest lyrics and has Frida on lead at her most seductive.

You should to see the video... (Denmark 1973 Performance Rare) This song actually makes a lot more sense watching that clip... It really is like a commercial... of ABBA (of themselves). I hope you do. See ya, guys ❤️🇨🇱👍

I was just listening to the Super Trooper album. My how they grew. This is fun early 70s ditty. You should see the video. Quite fun. They are smiling. All members of ABBA smiling? It can happen.

Hello again, dearest Marissa & Tyler so glad to see you in our ABBA Journey "Love isn't easy" (1973) among my favorites from the first album of the future ABBA the contrast between the soft voice of the boys and the powerful irruption of the ladies is fantastic I think that, although it may seem exaggerated, that great difference in tone between the voices is to emphasize the meaning of the lyrics: men seduce and women resist (the use of contrasts is a trademark of ABBA) the melody is beautiful with a catchy chorus this is some of the first ABBA songs that alternated verses between boys and girls The video is very funny, on a tour of Denmark, a few months after Agnetha's postpartum time after her first motherhood Here is the link for you to see: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o37dqYaCjNmqipo In my opinion, the first ABBA album (when they are still called 'Björn & Benny; Agnetha & Frida) is more even and better than the next album' Waterloo ' and ABBA finds its musical identity in the third album: 'ABBA', the basis of ABBA's best pop music great reaction, honest and correct, to a song that is difficult to appreciate, but that I really like see you in the After Show best wishes from Buenos Aires Argentina South America

This is one of my favourites and it wasn't available easily in the UK during their early years. They do a very amusing video to accompany it, which is worth watching!

You should react the medley from 1975 ! It is the only song that Abba didn’t write themselves! It was released first time on german charity record and b- side of Summer Night City single 1978 !

I love the song. One of my faves from the early days. I think it’s extremely catchy yep and fun. Yep and this pre chorus part is perfectly connecting the verse and the chorus. I love this drop of instrumentation in the chorus. It’s something they did even more prominent on Mamma Mia. There is cute performance of the song on danish tv back in the day as this was a Scandinavian single release after He Is Your Brother and Nina Pretty Ballerina. Like many said: the first two albums are sort of experimental, not having found the sound yet. And yet it’s already so Abba. And yes Tyler is in love with love. He seems to have a more bit more of an emotional approach on the things than Marisa (sorry not Melissa). More easily excited and faster cooled down… but Marisa probably is more sensere once she is sure about her love for someone or something. Could be wrong but just my guess from afar. 😉

I feel like this is one of ABBA's more underappreciated songs. I love that it is balanced between the guys and the ladies, and it's just fun to listen to in general. It also has a really fun music video, which you guys sadly missed out on. Oh, and Marissa doesn't need to do anything funny; she can just sit there and look cute. Seriously though, I love that you guys are doing a deep dive into ABBA and exploring a lot of their music before moving on. As for who you should check out next, I feel compelled to recommend another of my favorite groups of all time: Air Supply.

Very folky and abba before synths and before many studios allowed them to build a wall of sound. Embryonic and no where as good as their mainstream stuff, but interesting to hear their development. Also Bjorn was still developing ( English) lyrically

@@Emmenem68 Sorry but when the song is good and not well known it's called "an underrated song". A "hidden gem" can be an unreleased demo, or a song that only exists as a B-side of a single. Anyway you can call it as you like, is just my opinion ;)

definitely check out Lovers (live a little longer), Dum dum diddle and dream world, a later released fromerly "lost" song that I personally also like quite a lot :) And as others suggested, maybe the medley as a bonus, would be interesting to hear your thoughts on unfinished abba music, even though its long xD

Yes, I too have issues with the chorus, or more specifically the end of it .. The instrumentation there is too clunky and jokey for my liking, and it detracts from the rest of this lovely and melodic song .. As others here have said, the cute video ( from Denmark in 1973 ) is definitely worth checking out.
