aespa stands for “Avatar X Experience” and “aspect”. It’s supposed to mean “experiencing different aspects of a new world through the avatar or other self” The group makes their debut alongside their own “ae” avatars, a concept serving as the label’s first project in its SMCU (SM CULTURE UNIVERSE) vision for the future of entertainment, aespa will project a future world centered on celebrities and avatars, and will be born into a group of completely new and innovative concepts that transcend the boundaries between the real world and the virtual world. The story behind the MV is the æ-versions of members and the normal versions of members connect via SYNK, which got destroyed by the black mamba. The black mamba can be thought of like a computer virus. There’s also theories that Karina has been poisoned by the black mamba(bc of the scene when her eyes turned black). So the plot may be about trying to defeat the black mamba and fix the SYNK. The MV broke the record of the most-viewed debut music video in the first 24 hours with 21.1 million views.

Forget to say aespa is a girlgroup which is their concept style was AI Concept. In the group they also the REAL MEMBERS and VIRTUAL MEMBERS. aespa right now consists 4 members named KARINA, GISELLE, WINTER and NINGNING. The virtual members named is still the same but all their named started with (ae).. ex: ae-KARINA

oh ok, we are still pretty new to kpop (within the last year) so when it comes to previous generations we have some catching up to do.... but we just watched MV with Solar, Hani and Luna from f(x) and it was great.... and i know i like RedVelvet and now aespa..... its exciting having new music on the way!

You wanted a recommendation, I say checkout Kpop group Dreamcatcher and their songs "Scream" & "Boca". They are a girl group with a very different sound. They have a more Rock influence but still with a kpop flavor.

You guys kept mixing the two blondes up it was very confusing to see who you’re bias was cause you kept saying both of them so I guess they both are? The shy one in the beginning in the hall and the one with sass after her are different girls. They just both have blonde hair in some scenes.
