She had issues with her old company and was getting blocked from making tv appearances and promoting her work (I’m pretty sure). That may be why you haven’t heard of her. She is known as one of Korea’s best vocalist and OST queen. If you wanna hear more you should check out her performances on immortal song they are amazing.

Thank you so much for reacting to Ailee. She is by far my favorite female soloist! (not with any group). She was born in the States and it's interesting to look back at her beginnings on her old youtube videos where she started out. With no famous Asian artists in the States (such a shame) she went to Korea, learned the language and made it HUGE there. Unfortunately something happened with her record label and in Korea the labels control your life and your ability to get any airtime. She was back in the States not long ago and she attended a David Foster concert where she was coincidentally picked from the audience to sing. He had NO idea who she was but she was called up on stage and WOW'd the crowd....you might enjoy the youtube video clip!! One of my favorites is her singing 'Everyone' on Immortal Songs. I get chills every time I hear it. I will subscribe and I hope you will listen and enjoy it too. Khamsamnida.

Ailee didn't learn the language when she moved to Korea, she was already fluent in it because she grew up speaking Korean at home. The producer who worked with her during her debut said unlike many Korean-American idols, Ailee's Korean was flawless and unaccented.

I don’t think she’s had music out maybe in a few years. I think she’s putting out new music this year. I watched her on a Korean show immortal songs. She’s on another competitive song show as well as many performances at Korean music awards shows. She’s always been solo. She did a perform with a girl idol group before though. She’s had several tv appearances. Running Man is one of them.
