Alanis was a staple of the 90s! The epitome of the 90s! A voice SO unique it couldnt be mistaken. My favorite live performace was her song UNINVITED at the '99 Grammys. My fav song overall is YOU OUGHTA KNOW, which she wrote on her breakup with Dave Coulier ( played Joey on Full House) and my fav song to Karoke lol, but all her music is great! IRONIC is also another favorite!

Alanis Morissette a phenomenal artist I’ve attended all her live concerts when she has toured the United Kingdom 🇬🇧, Alanis a Canadian- American singer- songwriter and actress known for her emotive mezzo- soprano voice and confessional songwriting, Alanis debut album Jagged Little Pill Has sold 33 million copies to date the best selling album of a debut album for a female singer in its day, she was the youngest female artist to win a top award, Alanis has won 7 Grammy awards and 13 Juno awards, nominated for 80 awards and won 38 awards, absolutely talented and plays several instruments well including harmonica flute guitar and piano, great reaction thanks 🙏

the way ive always viewed this song is what people see vs what you're actually going through. "im broke but im happy" "im poor but im kind" people may see her as broke but she sees herself as happy people see her as poor but she sees herself as willing to be poor as long as shes kind. but this song got drilled into my head being shes canadian and i was 5 when this song came out its been basically everywhere almost my entire life

She can play a few different instruments. Writes songs and is very talented. Left it all behind to stop and raise her beautiful children. She was huge in her prime. We would love a big comeback.

You should do her song called Uninvited, the live version. She is absolutely amazingly talented. Her entire catalog is gold. The live one I'm referring to is the one at the Grammy's 1999.

I consider this song a bit of a generational anthem. It captures what it felt like to be young in the 90s. We had some issues, sure, but overall an optimistic attitude towards life.
