Greetings from Canada. That summer, Alannah opened for Robert Plant (29 Palms- era) and they hit it off pretty good. There were pics of them at a cottage (mansion) in the Ontario Kawartha Lakes District. Peace, love and bellbottoms.

Big here in Australia. So many happy memories of transferring to our local police station in 1989 working with 30 wonderful guys who were like brothers to me. Loved them all. Some have gone now. It was the happiest time of my life. We used to have the radio on in the watch house and my memory of this song is so clear!

I love Alannah Myles. I remember when this video came out. I was just a kid and I so wanted to be her. Her hair, her leather jacket. She is incredible. She has several other songs, A Song Instead of a Kiss, Lover of Mine, Still Got This Thing to name a few. Another Canadian artist to check out, if you haven't, is Sass Jordan's Make You a Believer. Another, who due to issues with her past record label was on a 20 year hiatus and just came back with a new album last year is Amanda Marshall. Beautiful Goodbye, Dark Horse, Love Lift Me, Let it Rain, If I Didn't Have You, Fall From Grace, Trust Me, I'll Be Okay, Birmingham, Why Don't You Love Me, Marry Me, Everybody's Got a Story. Any song you pick, I'm sure you will enjoy and appreciate her vocals.

This song is just drenched in her voice and every time I hear it with other singers, it is never the same black velvet. I think this song has been used as love making song at one point or another. Possibly more as a stripper song, just has the mood and a sultriness to it. Its most certainly a special use song and not a play list jam.
