Musicians are legally required and almost every time get permission to cover another artist’s song. It happens all the time. You should check out Dolly Parton “I will always love you”. I love the shocked look on peoples faces when they realize that Whitney Houston didn’t write that song.

my 10 month old baby and I watch this video all the time! I have a playlist of songs he likes. I like Michael's original of this song, but this 1 is really good. it has many tributes in it to Michael--the drummer wearing 1 glove, the sidewalk lighting up, the baby chimp=Michael's chimp, Bubbles, his trademark scream, the guy at the end having a tat of Elizabeth Taylor, 1 of Michael's closest friends, and probably many more that I failed to catch
