I'm Japanese. Thank for your great reaction. BABYMETAL's members are famous star (acting in TV. CM. etc) in Japan from when a child. The agency they work for is the largest listed entertainment company in Japan and has many stars. It is very difficult to get into this office, and female applicants need to be exceptionally beautiful, first of all. Many stars have been with the company since childhood and take various lessons from leading instructors, such as dancing, singing, acting, etc., and usually become an actress. And among them, a small number of people with high singing ability (like the lead vocal of BABYMETAL : Suzuka Nakamoto) becomes a musician.This is because it is extremely rare for a person to have both a beautiful appearance like an actress and a high singing ability. We can see many videos of her singing song since when elementary school on KZbin. BABYMETAL was created to make use of her talent in 2010(When she was 13years old). Now she is often selected as one of the top rock singers in the world by famous music magazines in the United Kingdom and is called 'Queen' in the metal fandam. When Babymetal song is voted in popularity by Japanese, 'Akatsuki' usually comes in first place.😀

Great first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊 There is nobody quite like BABYMETAL. They started in 2010 as a sub-unit of a school themed JPop Idol group (they were aged 12 and 11 at the time) and created their own metal sub-genre mixing Metal with JPop hooks, melodies and aesthetics. They separated from the parent group in 2013 and have been touring the world every year (when they could) since 2014. We have watched them grow up and become one of the very best live acts on the planet. BABYMETAL are Su-metal (lead vocalist and the whole concept was formed and developed around her vocal talents and stage presence - she is exceptionally talented), Moametal and Momometal (in charge of backing vocals, harmonies and mainly hyping and involving the crowd with their choreo). It is Moa and Momoko's parts that the crowd will sing along with and they are a huge part of what sets BABYMETAL apart from other bands. The original third member, Yuimetal, last performed in October 2017 and was absent for 12 months for health reasons until she announced in October 2018 that she was still not fully recovered and would be leaving the band. After Yui left Su and Moa chose to continue as a duo through to and a bit beyond their 10th anniversary. So it was just the two of them for 4 or 5 years supported from 2019 by 3 dancers who would take turns dancing in the third spot until 1st April 2023 when one of those dancers, Momoko, was finally revealed as the new official third member. They are supported in all live shows by the Kami Band, all of them are world class instrumentalists. Since 2019 they have two Kami Bands, the Kami Band of the East (the best Japanese session musicians you could ask for) have been with them since 2012 and full time since early 2014. The Kami Band of the West (American musicians) joined them in 2019 and have been the full time support for the lengthier tours around the world (they played nearly 100 concerts in 25 countries last year). You will only see and hear the Kami Band in live performances, they do not record the studio versions (with one guitarist being the known exception). This was a compilation video made by a fan with clips from many different concerts from about 2012 to 2017. This was the Kami Band of the East, so you saw Mikio Fujioka (RIP January 2018 ) and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars, BOH with his 6 string bass guitar and Hideki Aoyama on drums. They have nearly 70 songs now, each one different to the last. They have songs in virtually every metal genre, but they will mix and blend so many other musical styles and genres with the metal - usually when you least expect it. Their official videos are all very good, but live BABYMETAL is best. I'm sure you will get some great suggestions for more songs. Some are straight metal, some lean towards their pop roots and they do everything in between. All you can be sure of is that they will surprise you every time, you will not be able to predict what you will see or hear from them next. Expect the unexpected. 'Catch Me If You Can' is the best metal song about playing a game that's a sort of cross between tag, blind man's bluff and hide & seek I've ever heard.🤘 It is the perfect mix of the two extremes with the brutal instrumentals and the sweet vocals - and the game they are playing, they're playing with an Oni (a sort of Japanese ogre 👹 popular in regional festivals and used specifically to frighten children ... and the idea of that probably amuses me a lot more than it really should 😁). The growling vocals (they are on a backing track) are the Oni asking things like "Are you ready?" and the best response has to be "Maada da yo" (No, not yet) while doing a running away from an Oni dance.🏃‍♀🏃‍♀🏃‍♀👹 For another reaction try 'Headbanger' live at their Legend 1997 concert (it was December 2013 celebrating Su-metal's 16th birthday - she was born in 1997). Seems like you've been genuinely bitten by the Babymetal bug. They are wonderful and when you "get" them, totally addictive. It is a wonderful combination of skill, hard work, professionalism and epic charisma. Babymetal has actually been around-it's earliest incarnation back in 2010. They are still going strong now. I'm not sure exactly but this performance I'm guessing is from 2015. Babymetal is actually the three gals. The backing band, known as the Kami band are a select group of session musicians who back Babymetal. So glad you enjoyed this "earlier" Babymetal. I'd like to recommend a more recent performance just to bring you up to date. The song is "Monochrome" live at PIA Arena from April 2023. It's an emotional performance-I won't go into why but someone most likely will. Loved your thoughtful reaction. Suggestions to showcase their range: *Akatsuki (Budokan 2014 Concert):* Lead Su-metal’s solo. Excellent showcase of her vocal prowess at 16. *Road of Resistance (Babymetal Channel - Official Live):* An epic power metal anthem and performance from Jan 2015. Showcases their combined abilities and showmanship. *Monochrome (Pia Arena MM, 2023):* A grown up Babymetal (mid-20s). Great reaction :) This band is pretty much unique and going for 13-14 yrs now - and will always surprise you in a good way, with all tracks being quite different - but likeable even on a first listen (maybe 60 tracks roughly now & only 2 maybe 3 that I'm not into that mostly relate to language use - an insane hit rate for me). More pls - you've probably been flooded with info and suggestions so I'll go away now and only be back to moan if you haven't seen any more of this amazing band - oh and LIVE is usually best.

Great reaction! You are right, they open up a completely new world that‘s so much more than just music. The fusion of genres, the musicianship, the stages designs, the dancing, the crowd participation, but also the smiles and positivity make them stand out among other bands, especially in Metal. They have been doing this for more than 13 years now, and they are still unique. I‘m 50 now, and I have listened to a lot of Metal bands over the years, but I have never been that addicted before. I have been a fan for 7 years now, and the fascination doesn‘t end. They still make me laugh, cry and enjoy myself just like they did on the first day. I‘m a couch potato and rarely ever leave the house, but they make me travel to other countries to see them. They often manage to have a profound effect on people‘s lives. The music covers a broad range between various Metal subgenres on on side and all sorts of other musical genres from all over the world on the other. Some songs are heavier and more „pure“ Metal, others are very playful and more poppy. You‘ll find inspiration from Hip Hop, Waltz, Ska, Reggae, EDM, Rap, Dubstep, Latin music and more in their songs. As you can imagine, since the oldest of the girls started at age 12 and is now 26, the sound has changed a bit over the years, but by no means has it become stale or less entertaining. It‘s still unique and fresh. There are so many good songs now that it‘s hard to give recommendations. I would choose the official music video of the song „Megitsune“ for an early, more playful song, and a live version of „Monochrome“ for something newer. Maybe „Road of Resistance - Live in Japan“ for more „traditional“ Metal (but still with the BABYMETAL edge, of course). But you really can’t go wrong with anything. In general, live shows is where they really shine, though.

I am glad you are intrigued with Babymetal. While this song is a good example of kawaii metal, it doesn't really show much of lead singer Su-metal's vocal talent. I suggest you check out their song "Monochrome" which has 2 different versions. There is the Piano version on The First Take channel that you might be especially interested in as a vocalist. And there is the metal version where i would particularly recommend the Live from PIA Arena performance.

Welcome to the world of Babymetal. There is simply no one else like them. How they can dance as hard as they do and maintain breath to sing is a mystery, because they do it for the whole show. There are sone fan theories like they practice singing on treadmills, but we don't know for sure. They are in incredible shape. There are many songs to listen to, but this is an older song, maybe a new one to see where they are? Either Monochrome Live or Metali Live would be a good choice.

Además también tiene una de las coreografías que más gusta y una de las más "kawaii" (linda), que de eso se trata: de la dicotomía y el contraste o yuxtaposición entre el metal y los aspectos "kawaii". "Catch me if you can" fue también mi primera canción de BABYMETAL hace ya casi cinco años y me atrapó desde el primer momento. Hello Cami.....I would suggest reviewing songs off Baby Metal's newer album.....The Other One....like Metal Kingdom or Monochrome at Pia Arena. They are much older and Sue's voice has matured into a total power house of a vocalist. And these older songs have been done over and over.

Bienvenida al apasionante mundo de BabyMetal o también como le decimos los fans, el Foxhole.🦊🤘🔥 Me encanta tu acento de colombiana. Siempre es grato ver más latinos y latinas sumergirse en este grupo tan especial que estoy seguro jamás viste algo parecido y no hay nadie igual a ellos en todo lo que hacen, si alguna vez tenés chances de verlas en vivo no lo dudes de hacerlo, es una experiencia única. Excelente canción para comenzar tu viaje por éste grupo asombroso aunque lamentablemente no es la mejor versión que usualmente recomendamos ya que es una compilación que no ayuda a disfrutar la canción y la actuación de las chicas a diferencia de un clip original donde no vas a ver cambios en los vestuarios tan bruscos y demás detalles que te hacen perder el foco, pero igual entendemos que a veces ésto ayuda a sortear el bloqueo que tienen ciertos clips, igual en mi siguiente comentario te voy a dejar más recomendaciones que no corren riesgo de ser bloqueadas. Empezemos con algo de info básica sobre ellas: BabyMetal es una unidad de baile metal formada en 2010 bajo el grupo Sakura Gakuin, ellas eran una subunidad o más bien como un club de la escuela ya que era esa la temática idol, ellas o más bien su productor, crearon el género kawaii metal mezclando el genero Jpop con diferentes mezclas y subgéneros del metal. Se volvieron independientes en 2013 y su nombre es en referencia al nacimiento de un nuevo género, no precisamente por sus caras de bebé o ser tan jovencitas, aunque igual el look ayudaba a dar esa impresión. Sus integrantes originales eran: *SuMetal* vocalista principal y baile, 26 años. *MoaMetal* coro y baile, 24 años. -YuiMetal- ex miembro desde 2018. *MomoMetal* 21 años, coro y baile, es la nueva miembro oficial desde abril 2023. Después de 2018 y hasta 2021 que dejaron de actuar para tomarse un descanso después de celebrar sus diez años vas a ver diferentes bailarinas completando el tercer lugar llamadas "avengers", una de ellas era Momoko Okazaki ahora MomoMetal, pero ninguna de ellas fué miembro oficial, excepto MomoMetal por supuesto a partir del año pasado. Acerca de ésta canción: La banda que toca junto a ellas se llama "Kami Band", dentro del lore de BM fueron enviados a ayudar a las chicas con el sonido del metal, kami significa a grueso modo "dios" y se visten de túnica blanca y con la cara pintada para dar esa apariencia de divinidad espiritual, ellos son el dios de la guitarra, el bajo y la batería. No siempre encontrarás los mismos miembros ya que van rotando pero en la primer época es usual ver casi siempre a los mismos que son todos japoneses y destacados músicos. Las intros de las Kami Band son una rareza ya que solo las podras encontrar en algunas canciones como "Rondo Of Nightmare", "Awadama Fever" o "YAVA!" pero las tocaron en muchos conciertos y hay muchas versiones con algunas variantes en los solos para disfrutar algo distinto, tambien hay una intro hecha por la Kami Band del Oeste en la cancion "Kagerou" y METALI!! más recientemente, muy recomendable. Uno de los clips en ésta compilación muestra el vivo de Budokan 2014 que fue un gran concierto siendo las mas jovenes en actuar en ese lugar prestigioso donde llegaron a tocar inclusive Los Beatles entre muchos otros famosos, no cualquiera toca ahi y ellas lo consiguieron en tan poco tiempo llegar a ese lugar soñado por los artistas. Budokan es el nombre generico que reciben las arenas donde se desarrollan torneos de artes marciales pero éste es el mas conocido ya que es el mas grande de todos y se encuentra en Tokyo, la capital. En el 2021 volvieron para celebrar sus 10 años con 10 conciertos intercalados a lo largo de 4 meses, y tambien un poco para tomar revancha ya que en 2014 no todo salio como esperaban, entendible, e incluso la noche anterior a esta (Red Night) tuvieron un accidente las dos más chicas, se puede encontrar una fancam de lo que paso e incluso la version proshot no puede ocultar el hecho de que una de ellas no pudo terminar la cancion, pero se recupero para la siguiente final cancion y luego en esa cancion se lesiono MoaMetal, nuestros pobres angelitos YuiMetal y MoaMetal. Pero todo eso quedo atras y ya se sacaron ese maleficio al menos dos de ellas, claro, YuiMetal ya no esta con ellas desde 2018. En fin, "Catch Me If You Can" es una brutal combinacion y fiel expositor del genero que crearon, la increible Kami Band al comienzo luciendose con esa intro que te derrite la cara seguida de una explosion de kawaii cuando entran las chicas, ese coctel solo puede terminar en diversion pero una diversion un poquitin siniestra ya que estan jugando a las escondidas con un Oni, un ogro de la mitologia japonesa que acostumbra a comerse a los humanos o_o Osea la cancion no deja de ser divertida pero en las letras te cuenta algo sobre la cultura japonesa cuando empezas a investigar un poco. Cuando veas esa guitarra rosa es seguro que quien la toca es Takayoshi Ohmura y su pink-chan, ese es el apodo de la guitarra, un crack jeje Tambien lo vas a ver en estos conciertos con una guitarra dorada ESP. Otro de los guitarrista es Leda Cygnus y es el unico que se conoce de la Kami Band que haya colaborado en las grabaciones de estudio tocando algun instrumento. También se ve a Mikio Fujioka, otro gran guitarrista de la banda que lamentablemente nos dejó con su triste partida también a principios de 2018 QEPD (el mismo año en que se fué YuiMetal, dos grandes bajas en éste grupo). En el bajo esta BOH y su destreza asombrosa y en la bateria Hideki Aoyama, un baterista que viene de una familia de reconocidos bateristas. Las voces guturales normalmente siempre fueron un recurso extra para ambientar las canciones y darle ese toque metal, pero tambien KobaMetal (el productor y creador) ha experimentado otros recursos para no abusar de esos guturales como el susurro en canciones como "Headbanger!!" o "Uki Uki Midnight". No hay nadie para destacar, se sabe algun que otro nombre de los que estuvieron en el 2do album pero no en el 1ro si mal no recuerdo, de la unica colaboración que podemos estar seguros es de Alisa White-Gluz en la canción "Distortion" de su ultimo album, y mucho más recientemente MomoMetal en determinadas canciones como su último tema METALI!! y en Headbanger!! o más conocido como MomoBanger al ser su versión durante la noche de su cumpleaños en el concierto del mes pasado. Para terminar te invito a que veas sus actuaciones en los escenarios de festivales, fuera de su zona de confort llena de luces y produccion de alto nivel como en esta o las que ya viste. Por ejemplo canciones como - "Karate" en vivo Download Festival 2016, o su historico... - "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" en vivo Sonisphere 2014, son obligatorios para que veas como se desempeñan fuera de Japon, o incluso este tema en MetroRock 2015 esta genial, lo podes encontrar en el canal de Babymetal Reactor Resource bajo el titulo "CMIYC" con marca de agua para evitar el bloqueo por derechos de autor. Babymetal son las creadoras del genero musical Kawaii-metal, kawaii singnifica lindo o tierno en Japones. Es una combinación de música idol, Jpop y metal. Espero que sigas reaccionando a ellas, ninguna canción suena igual a la anterior ya que es una banda que experimenta con todo tipo de ritmos y subgéneros del metal. Te recomiendo reaccionar a versiones en vivo, la vocalista suena mejor en vivo que en las versiones de estudio y todas las canciones tienen coreografías :) Te recomiendo la canción "Night night burn" que tiene ritmos latinos (:

Hola! buen video. Ya te comentarán otras cosas y la historia de la banda, así como los nombres, etc, etc. Así que solo vengo a hacerte unas recomendaciones. Tienen ya bastante trayectoria. Más de 13 años te dejan con mucha tela que cortar. Ya es decisión tuya si gustas empezar por lo más actual o lo más clásico, pero sea como sea, son un grupo que siempre se está desafiando a si mismo para hacer música. Si quieres algo antiguo, las presentaciones más recomendadas son del concierto "Legend 1997" (concierto de 2013 que celebra el 16 cumpleaños de Su-Metal, vocalista principal). También videoclips como son: *Megitsune, Road of resistance, Karate* o la canción más popular *Gimme Chocolate* . Hay canciones menos clásicas pero que ya tienen su historia, te recomiendo *Night, Night, Burn!, Shine* y *PA PA YA!* . Y al final, las canciones más recientes que vienen de 2022 en adelante, una parada muy obligatoria es *Monochrome* (en vivo mejor), algunas otras recomendaciones serían *Divine Attack , Metalizm, Metali* y su más reciente colaboración en una canción (publicada hace mes y medio aprox) llamada *Leave it al Behind* . Tienes que comprender que esta es una mezcla entre metal y la unión del kawaii, un subgénero totalmente nuevo, el cual ha sido muy bien aceptado por millones de personas, y por grandes bandas del metal y el rock a nivel mundial quienes les han brindado el respeto, y las han separado de ser más que una banda de J-pop nada más, para ser muy respetadas en el mundo del Metal (si buscas en redes han tenido el compartir con bandas reconocidas por todos a través de sus giras con fotografías con bandas como Metallica por ejemplo) por ello el nombre de BabyMetal, la banda ha tenido giras a nivel mundial, y han tenido colaboraciones con la talla de artistas como Tom Morello de Rage Against The Machine, Dragonforce, Lil Uzi Vert, Judas Priest, Bring Me the Horizon, etc., el video que acabas de reaccionar son de cuando ellas tenían corta edad, actualmente, pues han crecido junto a la banda y lo cual ha hecho que su música sea más acorde a la edad, pero sin perder el Metal-Kawaii , sus integrantes son conocidas cómo Su-Metal voz líder, Moa-Metal, Yui-Metal (Quien abandono el grupo por motivos de salud y fue reemplazada por Momoko Okazaki o conocida por todos como Momo-Metal), la banda que toca con ellas recibe el nombre de Kami-Band, BabyMetal tiene como concepto creativo el que su música y sus presentaciones como escenarios, vestuario y señas, son bajo la orden de God Fox' o Dios Zorro, el creador mítico de la banda y con ese concepto juegan, te recomendaría que veas sus canciones de este tiempo donde reaccionaste para que luego veas la evolución actual al paso de los años y la madurez que han obtenido, canciones como Headbanger, Megitsune, Karate, Rondo of Nightmare, Tales of Destiny (SÚPER RECOMENDADA Y REACCIONALA) todas estas, míralas en presentaciones de conciertos, para luego tirarte a presentaciones más actuales cómo: From Dusk Till Dawn, BxMxC, siempre en concierto, luego a videoclips como Metali (メタり) kingslayer junto a Bring me the horizon también en versión video (reacciónalas también please) y bueno es muy extenso recomendarte canciones, pues tienen un sin fin de grandes éxitos, y con una virtuosidad increíble, ellas tienen un opening llamado Death con lo que inician los conciertos puedes reaccionar a ello también, y trata que las canciones de conciertos en vivo que reacciones sean de Japón, puesto que las producciones de los conciertos ahí son gigantes en todo sentido, en sus giras a pesar de que son igual de geniales, sus videoclips de presentaciones en vivo que son de culto para quienes somos fans son las de Japón, por el tamaño de los lugares, la cantidad increíble de personas en sus conciertos, escenografías, puestas en escena, la calidad de sus ingenieros de sonido, iluminación, etc. Bienvenida al mundo de BabyMetal, no te vas a decepcionar de este concepto y banda de Metal Kawaii con demasiado talento, pero tienes un largo camino para aprender más de ellas. 🦊🤘

After you listen to 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr', look up Momobanger Legend MM 20 Night, a compilation by SG Love. Momometal replaced Yuimetal after she retired due to illness. She was a backup dancer for 4 years until she was finally made into the permanent third member. Legend MM 20 Night was a special moment as she was about to celebrate her 21st birthday. Babymetal is best when seen live. Their crowd control is next level.

One of the few titles where I don't expect to see it again. Momo is simply bigger than Su so if she would try to crawl between Su's legs it simply wouldn't look cute but silly. They go currently through a process of Rejuvenation. When the real Babymetal started they were 12 , 10 and 10, now they are 27, 25 and 21. This old song usedvthe old Kami Band, yes they were professional players but only Session musicians. They were worried how they should handle idols but Koba made it clear You play as hard as you can, don't look at them as small girls or young idols. But with the Kami Band West that was originally only a project for US and European venues they also used younger musicians. No one would have expected that they would become the International most successful japanese Band. When they were hired their handlers were looking more for Characteristics that could look after the girlsvand protect them. Such thoughts didn't matter wuthbthe Kami Band West. The girlscwere a known entity and one of the biggest Groups in the World and Su was the Well established director on Stage.

Unfortunately they have not performed this song since 2017, when member Yui left the group. The band (Kami Band) seen here also stopped doing intro solo since then too. The first guitarist Mikio Fujioka died January 2018 from injuries of fall a week earlier. Also this Kami band has not performed since the beginning of 2023. The Band they have use since is the West Kami band who are Americans and not as good. Your thumbnail is a recent pic of the current lineup with Momoko (Yui's replacment)
