Now that you’ve heard this version, you’ve got to hear the real Bob Dylan’s song which is WAY more raw and excellent. This doesn’t compare.

NOT the real Dylan. a poser. Bob Dylan is unique-- alone in his style. this is not raw like the original. Quick Compare --you will see what I mean. I grew up with Dylan's music, with that song as my absolute favorite for about 35 years (until I replaced it with a Beatles song).

Yes! Bob Dylan's original version was the best rock song of that era! Bob D's "Positively 4th Street" is another one, where he tells another user exactly how he feels about her/him, he holds nothing back, especially the last line, love it!

Bob Dylan has a very unique voice (he's definitely not a vocalist - he's a poet - but you know it's Dylan when you hear him). The person singing the song in this video is not even close to imitating the real Dylan.

This is almost Bob Dylan, but it’s not. It’s someone trying to sound like him. There’s something about Dylan himself singing this that makes you actually feel the song. He is one of the greatest song writers of all time. Along with Leonard Cohen, Billy Joel and any member of Crosby,Stills,Nash and Young.

Actually this song is about a woman who grew up in a rich family and looked down on everybody "beneath her" but then did not take advantage of everything she had given to her, and depended on a guy that wasn't Worthy and ended up in a bad situation.

This is my favorite Dylan song. For a guy 73 year old guy who lived when this song was popular, it holds a lot of memories. It was a time of turmoil and change. Families divided over philosophy and politics and mistakes. Very deep lyrics. The government was the man stealing life from the youth and like a paradox, at the same time providing the catalyst for change. Dylan was involved with the freedom fighter. He was one of the voices clamoring for change, a poet of the 60s holding the nation accountable.

A Do-over is mandatory! This was a clumsy performance, and lacks the character that is Dylan. The only cover of this song worth listening to (after hearing the original) is a live version by Jimi Hendrix from the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival. 🤘 Check out Bob's version, then check out Jimi.

He stood out in the mid 60's as a folk rocker because spoke facts and it made you feel uncomfortable which was the point. The world is not all one color...prosperous and one religion. Its complicated and messy and the unknowns need to be seen , heard . fed and treated humanely. Dylan was rappin as rappers do today about pain and struggle. Man so glad you reacted to this song. Its one of many real voices out there spittin facts and truth. ;)

Okay, one more comment. In case you don't understand Bob's influence on music and the generation past and in the future, Bob has more than 700 songs he wrote and performed. He just recently ( last year) sold his musical catalog for 300 Million Dollars. Now, you tell me you can't dig down deep and hear the True Bob Dylan. Have you got 300 Million Dollars? Does any entertainer out there? And we're not counting what he's already worth! But God forgive him, he's 80 yrs old. Sell it Bob!

Bob Dylan has been a treasure and a pleasure to the fabric of American music since the 196o's. His influence on groups like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, the Doors, Beach Boys, Elvis Presley, and everyone since cannot be quantified. The fact that he is still releasing more music now than at any time during his career is mind-blowing. Try these two sterling songs and enjoy. YOU GOTTA SERVE SOMEBODY & HURRICANE. And I have request for your other channel. Since Asia mentioned basketball on her other channel, how about watching the Larry Bird mix-tape and give it a review. Just saying.

"When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose". Whenever I hear someone say, "How could someone possibly do that?", my easiest reply is that the person probably had nothing to lose. Bob Dylan understood that. Want to fix the world? Don't put the balance of folks in that position. Don't create the conditions for it to happen to so many people.

The original studio recording will sound entirely different. The original recording led its session musicians to work with other great artists like Jimi Hendrix who wanted to emulate the new sounds introduced in the original recording. One was Al Cooper who played organ in this session and went on to play organ parts for great song. Cooper confessed later that he didn’t actually know how to play organ when he performed on this recording. He was a guitarist who managed to BS his way into the session. Dylan really liked his playing and Al Cooper would go on to form Blood Sweat and Tears and discover and produce Lynyrd Skynyrd. ✌️🎸 kzbin.info/www/bejne/joDXqJJ9i6qWhbc
