Lol that scene in the church followed by the backseat of the car was a HUGE deal lol. This was probably their best videos. But yeah, it was after 10pm only on MTV for a while lol. But yes, they spoke on the hypocrisies of our parents (us Gen Xers) loveless marriages while they scorned us for finding love in our own ways.

Interesting fact: that album ("New Jersey", 1988) still holds the record for the rock album with most Top Ten singles in the US chart: "Bad Medicine" (#1); "Born To Be My Baby" (a personal favourite, #3); "I'll Be There For You" (#1); "Lay Your Hands on Me" (#7); "Living in Sin" (#9).
