Don't sleep on Alison Krauss, she's got 27 Grammys for a reason, bluegrass, country, member of the bluegrass group Union Station, even did albums with Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin fame, she's often sang backup or as a duet partner for many artists, but she is without a doubt a star in her own right as a soloist and to top it all off, she is a master fiddle player. Beyond talented lady. Brad is likewise a master guitarist and has had multiple number one hits. One of my favorites is Brad's collab with Dolly Parton on the song When I Get Where I'm Going.

Brad is a certified guitar God. He started very young, as a teenager forming a band that quickly became the house band at the West Virginia Opry in Wheeling. He grew up just a few miles south, in Glendale, WV. His songs are amazing. He will make you laugh, cry and everything in between. Check out "This is Country Music", "Celebrity", "I'm Still a Guy", "Mud on the Tires", and probably one of his greatest, "Waiting on a Woman". Allison is a multiple Grammy winner, not quite as mainstream as most country artists, but still incredibly influential over the last 4 decades or so. Her cover of "When You Say Nothing At All" (Keith Whitley's original is amazing, too.) is absolutely beautiful. Her voice can cut right through you.

This is a true story from Ronnie Dunns life. He said that this man taught him about God and salvation, changed his life. Makes this song even more wonderful not to mention his voice blew us away when it came out! Ronnie said it’s hard for him to sing this song because it’s emotional for him. Jesus saved me when I was 10 years old! Praise the Lord! Been trying my best to walk with Him and follow Him ever since. So thankful for Jesus in my life.

I have struggled with addictions for the last 25 years. I've been to rehab twice and am not currently in the throes so to speak, but I am an addict, and it pulls at me every single day. It brings self-condemnation and guilt and the feeling of hopelessness. I have learned though that you just can't give up, keep trying and there will be good times. However, never let your guard down. My brother died of an accidental overdose 24 years ago, I still miss him. My faith in God and a better day keeps me trying, thank you for your kind words. Also, there is hope out there and my beautiful wife has never given up on me even though I am sure she has felt like it. Peace.

I could have sworn that the first song that I heard him perform (in a video) was a cover of the Statler Brothers song "Counting Flowers On The Wall". I get excited & many times, I've wondered how did they think of this or putting certain words together & rhyming it. IMO Here's 2 beautiful songs to Iisten to: Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn duet "l still believe in waltzes." The other song(writers Paul Anka & Maxime Piolot) "Do l love you (Yes in every way." Sung by Donna Fargo. Donna sings it softly & does it beautiful. She does have to belt it out loudly. I think that's why l like her version so much.

His range of themes in songs is amazing. He also played a free concert at Fort Campbell for the 101st Airborne Division before I was sent to Iraq. At the end of the concert everyone started chanting for him to play "the fishing song" He halted the band and they stayed and played not only that song but several more audience requests. He stayed so long the commander of the Division gave us a late call the next morning when reporting to formation
