Chaka Kahn is not just a singer, she is a force of nature. She is also an activist. A gorgeous voice. I would suggest the Rufus era music. I Feel For You, a song written by Prince specifically for her is another great choice.
@Musicvegan014 ай бұрын
Prince didn't write it for Chaka. It was on his 2nd album from 1979, and she remade it in 1984. Prince's version wasn't a single. Rebbie Jackson (sister of The Jackson 5) also had a version in the same year as Chaka, but Rebbie's was an album track, not a single. Prince did later write some songs for Chaka though.

She recorded a solo album in 1978, reunited with Rufus, recorded more solo projects as well as music with the group before finally leaving Rufus in 1983. Chaka has won 10 well- deserved Grammys. So, yes...please check out more of her music! It will be well worth the time. ❤ Here are a few suggestions: "You Got the Love" "Sweet Thing" "Everlasting Love" "Once You Get Started" "I'm Every Woman" Whatcha Gonna Do for Me" "Roll Me Through the Rushes" "Hollywood" "I Feel for You" (by Prince) "Ain't Nobody"
