The first part (female voice), beautifully voiced by Bangladeshi living folk legend Momtaz Begum, is a type of folk song called "Noila Gaan" from the northern region of Bangladesh, a spiritual prayer to Allah (God) for rain, originally written by another renowned Bangladeshi Bhawaiya folk singer Abbasuddin back in 1940 when Bengal was suffering from severe drought. The Second Part (male voice) is by sang Mizan Rahman, also another renowned vocalist, loved for his powerful voice, originally a Bhandari Song, which is a type of Sufi song from the Chittagong region of Bangladesh, written by Romesh Fakir Maizbhandari, in the song, writer wonders about his spiritual connection to Allah (God) / Divine Entity.

Its original version is a Bangladeshi song: Allah Megh de pani de First singer, songwriter and composer: ABBAS UDDIN. (1940) Then ALAUDDIN ALI Rearranged the music (1980). Then singer RUNA LAILA sang Her Hindi version "de de payer de" in an Album in BAPPY LAHIRI's music. (1984) And at last KISHORE KUMAR sang it in Sharabi film in 1984

"Allah megh de pani de" is the song people in ancient bengal used to sing expecting rain which in english means "Oh God, make it rain, bestow cloud and shade". They sang this song because they couldn’t grow crops without rain as there was no modern irrigation system back then. This song is a reflection of ancient bengali culture which is really close the daily life of the farmers. Bangladesh, being an agricultural country is very depended on the monsoon.
