@@OwenSlone48 Yep, true western music , from Saskatchewan, Canada. He was 19 when he recorded this and it blew me away. Been a fan ever since - country/western is pretty far outside my usual tastes, but this dude is something special.

@@dbradx hell yeah he’s something. i’m in his top 3% of listeners on spotify. love almost every song with him in it (besides Ballad of a Law Abiding Sophisticate, just doesn’t hit me like his other stuff). absolutely love Colter

When I first heard him on my random iTunes Radio station I couldn’t believe it because I thought it was a Johnny cash song I hadn’t heard. Then I heard him on the show Yellowstone and was like “who is this?!?!!?!” He literally sounds like Johnny cash to me.

Not many people are familiar with the devil and the proverbial "cross roads"! This is what I love about true country singers and how they tell a story! (country pop stinks-no soul). So if I could humbly request based on your great reaction an overlooked singer/songwriter/musician RYAN BINGHAM! Especially his live acoustic performance Jaminthevan song Nobody knows my trouble or "Hard Times", I promise you a completely different journey! Love your channel!!!

You´ll be delighted to hear, that Mr. Wall now goes full country. Personally I liked his more folkish bluesy early stuff better...much better tbh.

You can see on his face he had to strain to sing so low. He's said more recently he can't even watch those old videos for how hard he had to try. Now he sings in a more natural range, and he still has a killer voice. Check out his cover of Cowpoke, or his tune Western Swing and Waltzes for his more recent sound
