Those people in the audience...500 of them...they're the judges. Those people in the backroom were fellow competitors. They're established professional singers who's already famous/popular in China and their respective countries. This competition/show are only for established professional singers and all by invitations only. Dimash was the exception here. He was not established in China, he was unknown...not famous in China. But all that changed when his ICONIC PERFORMANCE.....SOS in episode 1, Singer 2017 was broadcasted. He became an overnight celebrity in China that needed bodyguards to move around in China. He hasn't looked back sine. He has since has had many sold out solo concerts in various cities in various countries including China, Latvia, Germany, Russia, UK, China, Belarus, US (New York's Barclays Centre), Czech Republic, etc. All his solo concerts so far were all sold out concerts.....some even fully sold out in advance (in Germany) and had to be cancelled due to Covis-19 pandemic.....postponed to March 2021.

So glad you have discovered Dimash. I'm a 78 year old retired teacher, musician, singer, performing artist, and Dimash has resurrected my old musical Spirit. A bit of info about him: He was a child prodigy born in Kazakhstan to professional singer parents. He had perfect pitch at age 2, began piano and voice lessons at 5, and first performed at 6. By 15 he was winning singing competitions in Euroasia and graduated from a High School for the Performing Arts. He was launched to superstardom through performances like this one on the Chinese tv singing competition "I am Singer" in 2017 at age 23. He has performed at huge concerts world-wide until the Covid 19 pandemic. He continues to release new videos and has a fan club of over 10 million members. Also, he has earned a B.A. in Classical Voice, a M.A. in Contemporary Voice, and an M.A. in Music Composition. Combining an amazingly gifted voice, over 20 years of training, and a powerful passion for music and performing, he is a 21st century musical phenomenon.

Try SOS his first song that made him famous. It's in French. He has original that are in his native language...he is from Kazakhstan. He is regarded by many vocal coaches to be a voice of a generation....best singer in the World. Try Confessa ± The Diva Dance. Its from The Singer also. The Diva Dance is the Blue Alien song from the Bruce Willis movie The Fifth Element. In the movie the singing was created by a computer mixed with human voices. But Dimash sings it perfectly.

This was Pierregiuseppe Zaia himself, who is director and composer of Creators: The Past. The OSTs in China were written mainly by Chinese people. So please don't mix up things.

His passion is absolutely PHENOMENAL it's such a lost art to pour everything you have out on stage and I've never in my life seen anyone do it better than Dimash. He's such a beautiful human being to humble, kind, respectful, and charitable. He's got a master's degree in musical composition and the song he composed as his thesis is War and peace it's an incredibly powerful beautifully written song. He's got several maybe a dozen originals but even the covers he does he does all the arrangements for. He's now studying for his PhD in Musicology so in a few years when he gets his doctorate he'll be Dr. Kudaibergen. I highly suggest SOS, Sinful passion, Ogni Pietra Olympico, War and peace again for an original. His latest song is the most beautiful vocal performance I've ever heard in my life it's an incredibly emotional tribute to a famous Kazakh Composer that was also Dimash's teacher and longtime mentor that passed away from Covid-19 in July the second person very close to Dimash that he lost to Covid-19. It's called Qaragym AI and it is out of this world gorgeous I would do that next because it will give you an incredibly accurate picture of how much he's developed and grown since 2017. P.S his vocal range wasn't even exercised in this performance lol he has more than 7 octaves.

This song is a cover, the original is by Lara Fabian (because of this particular performance she has reached out to Dimash and they have been collaborating ever since). Please react to SOS from The Singer. SOS is the song that made him famous literally overnight. This was 3 years ago, Dimash's voice has matured allot since. He is now 7 octave and a few semitones. Loved your response.... confusion is the only honest reaction to hearing Dimash for the first time. His transitions - as you noticed - simply don't exist. Smooth and flawless through-out his 6+ octave range. He wrote Unforgettable Day when he was 19. (He's 22 in this performance.) This last March he premiered "Your Love" which was composed by Igor Krutoy w/ lyrics by Lara Fabian - for Dimash. If you want to look close to home to understand how he transforms and "owns" songs, check out his covers of Lionel Ritchie's "Hello" and Queen's "The Show Must Go On." He shows respect for both songs, but as every artist must - he transforms them into something new. Enjoy the ride, you're going to have fun and he will surprise you at every turn.

One of the best originals from him is Unforgettable Day, which he composed at age 19. In the Gakku concert version, he holds a D8 (which is off the piano) for 5 seconds with vibrato. But it's not just that note, the performance will give you an appreciation of how he interacts with his audience. ​Thank you for your reaction to "Adagio"! Dimash sang the song in Episode 6 of the Chinese "Singer" contest for singers with well-established careers, participating by invitation. This was in 2017, Dimash was 22 at the time and this contest made him a superstar in China and was the breakthrough of his international career. Originally "Adagio" was performed by Lara Fabian, who wrote the lyrics. It's composed based on the melody of a classical piece for organ and strings known as Albinoni's Adagio for Strings. Albinoni was an Italian composer in the 18th century. According to Wikipedia his biographer in the 20th century found the notes of an unknown musical fragment and composed Adagio himself from this fragment. Dimash has a lot of original songs written for him or songs he composed himself. Since then, more than 60 singers from all over the world have performed it. Dimash's version is an Adagio based on poems by Lara Fabian. Dimash was not the only foreigner on this show. He was the only non Chinese on this show. All other foreigners on Singer 2017 were Chinese. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. All competitors were established popular professional singers who's already famous in China. Dimash was the exception here. He was invited by the producers as an experimental wildcard competitor. He was not established nor was he famous in China. All that changed from his first ever performance on this show (also his first performance in China). He stunned China, he stunned everyone on the show with his iconic performance SOS. after SOS performance premiered....Dimash overnight became a famous celebrity in China that needed bodyguards to move around in China. He hasn't looked back since.

Not true. Arranged by Erlan/Yerlan Bekchurin (it's written on the credits). Though Dimash does some music arrangements....he didn't do any music arrangements on any songs in Singer 2017 and Singer 2018. From episode 3 onwards in Singer 2017 right up to the final were all arranged by his friend and arranger Erlan Bekchurin...including Hello cover in Singer 2018. Episode 1 and 2 of Singer 2017 (SOS and Opera 2 were arranged by the Chinese on that show).

Inaccurate information. Just read the name of the song , the name of the arranger on the screen. It was written Erlan Bekchurin......Erlan Bekchurin has been arranging nearly all of Dimash's songs beginning from The Show Must Go On, episode 3, Singer 2017. Though Dimash is also capable of arranging songs he hardly does it anymore nowadays due to time constraints. Erlan Bekchurin is his chief arranger and also a long time family friend....close enough for Dimash to consider him family like. Dimash is also the god father of Erlan Bekchurin's son.

Adagio is my all-time favorite of Dimash, but “SOS” is where most people start. I found him about a heart ago and I have listened to ten songs of his (or so) about 800 times. My husband is tired of Dimash, but not me. Adagio....... so so lovely. Opera II as well.... some songs are a bit too. “Out there” for me... but he is so talented.

If you want to hear Dimash original songs Unforgettable Day, Concert in Gakku, War and Peace, he wrote the songs. Ognie Pietra was written by Igor Krutoy his music producer for Dimash to sing. Pretty much everything Dimash does if epic. He is from Kazakhstan. He is Eurasian, as are a large number of the Kazak citizens. He is absolutely the most technically perfect singer in the world. He sings mostly covers but has written some of his own music but corroborates with Lara Fabian and the great musician, Igor Krutoy, both of whom have written for him. This song is, in my opinion, not one of his best, but you will find that out if you continue to react to him. Here is a great one from him. Sounds like DA Mosh Coo Die Burr Gun. Singer 2017 for professionals & they invited Dimash as an unknown wildcard. Their rules wouldn't allow him to win so he finished 2nd. 6 foot 3 26 years old 7 octave range sings in 12 languages plays 7 instruments 21 years of training & practice. He is now working with composer Igor Krutoy who is composing new songs & reworking others just for Dimash. 🎶👱‍♀️👗👠👠💓

Best singer in the world. He sings and speaks in several languages.....He has a 7 octave range, but is also very humble. he says his range is not important, it is just a tool he uses to made his listeners feel good. In Sinful Passion he sings a 23 second run

Also Ogni Petra a Russian composer came out of retirement to work with Dimash. He wrote the song and only Dimacan sing it as far I know. No one has the range he has.

That was a Lara Fabian cover, she wrote the words but the music was written a good 60 years ago. The music to this song was used in the soundtrack to the movie "Rollerball" released in 1975 staring James Caan . Dimash does perform a lot of covers though I believe he has a few originals. Two other songs you may consider are "Love is a Dream" and "Sinful Passion".
