Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Dimash is just great, isn't it? He manages to lift people to heaven with just one vowel. He leaves me speechless every time I hear his Ave Maria. And I love it when the drums come in. It's so unique. Igor Krutoy (the gentleman at the piano) composed this version of the Ave Maria at Dimash's request. Usually, Ave Maria is a prayer to the Holy Virgin Mary. In this case, however, it is a prayer for all people, no matter what religion they belong to. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash when he first heard him. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range (no kidding), like Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You'll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave 2 semi-tone range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "SOS" 2017, 2018 or 2021, "Sinful Passion" 2018, "Stranger" 2021,"Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) KZbin channel, "Adagio" from The Singer 2017, and "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. This masterpiece is just a drop in the ocean, and it isn't in any way representative. It isn't even representative of his voice. It just displays one of many incredible things that he can do with it. Of his many other masterpieces, none are anything like this and in all of them he makes use of vocal colours, techniques and ranges that are not to be found here. Would you believe the guy you just listened to also performs hip-hop and rap---and does it brilliantly? That's the genius of Dimash. His voice and his creativity allows him to cover virtually every genre of music known to man. This song covers the higher ranges, but how about some samples of his lower: "Stranger," "Love Is Like a Dream."

Welcome to Dimash World! This is an interesting one to start with, as it is a vocalise and 'only' showcases his higher registers. You'll come to understand that he can sing every part, and use any timbre, color, style he wants, sometimes all of these in one song. It is a very unusual song to start with Dimash, but I love Ave Maria. I suggest, as other Dears will, listen to STRANGER for the next one. Amazing lower range. Or SOS from Slavic Basar. Or Sinful Passion with A Studio. For fun and to see his diversity in genres you have to watch the music video BE WITH ME. I was absolute flabbergasted as I watched it the first time. You have to know that Dimash is a fan of Jackie Chan 😉. I hope you will do more reactions to Dimash. I subscribed and liked. Greetings from the Northern Part of Germany

He has a 7 octave range, sings in 13+ different languages and is a multi instrumentalist. He calls his fans Dears because he considers us all family. He's very respectful and humble. All his live performances will blow your mind…recommend Stranger, Adagio and Dimash singing in his native language at Bastau concert..Aida Daididau. Could go on and on.. He is sooooo special. Also Olimpico, Confessa and the Diva Dance, Daybreak ( a sad, tragic story), Autumn Strong and lastly Hello…still could go on and on… enjoy your Dimash ride.

HIGHLY recommend your next stop be the performance that really started it all as far as Dimash's worldwide fan base. 2017 SOS performance from the annual Chinese talent competition (I Am Singer) of professional singers from different genres by invitation only competing for Chinese Singer of the Year. Dimash was a wild card special invitee. He was the First ever non-Chinese Singer ever to be invited. At 22 yo at the start of the 14 week event, he was also the youngest ever contestant. A virtual unknown to the Chinese audience, judges and fellow contestants, Dimash was requested to OPEN the annual show as first artist. He chose what is considered one of the five most difficult French songs to sing...SOS. He brought with him credentials of winning every international singing competition he had entered up to that point. As a virtual unknown came rhe request to open the show as it was anticipated that he might not last deep into the competition. After singing SOS in French to his Mandarin speaking audience, the resulting sensation required that the show provide Dimash with bodyguards. Ultimately, SOS became his signature song. There are popular more recent versions (which u could review later) but it's important you know the beginning. Also, highly request u search Dimash SOS 2017 I Am Singer and choose the LONGER video which gives an intro to Dimash and lead in AND gives English subtitles. You will be glad you did. Dimash is completely into the song (into the prayer), he IS archangel Gabriel foretelling Maria she will be the mother of the son of God ... the song begins with the softness and tenderness to calm her down, not to be afraid of his amazing presence, then he proceeds to announce God's will (The Annunciation), that she will conceive his son, and unleashes all the power of his voice, his arms move like and angel's wings, and he goes to an overwhelming finale with the sadness of her child's destiny...
