You should just go down the Dirty Loops rabbit hole because almost everything they do is epic. As most of the comments have suggested, “Follow the Light” is a must. So is “Next to You”, as that is a personal favorite. They’ve done numerous covers that you should check out as well. As far as MJ covers, this is the only one the band has done, but the vocalist (Jonah Nilsson) did a cover of “Bad” on his solo project.

Man... I felt just like you until I got a feel of the groove. lol, I listened a few times and I am hooked. Let me tell you about me. I am from GARY, INDIANA, and Mike and I went to the same grad school. I used to look in their window when their dad had them practicing. He ran off my miniature butt and I didn't do that again. I went on and did 29 years in the Army and became an SGM. I still have contact with the brothers and we listened to this via Skype, and we became emotional. I got to myself and my eyes began to sweat because Mike touched this band to re-create this. They let M.J. know they LOVE him and produced their VERSION of "THRILLER" and its pure creativity. LOVE YOU M.J. old friend. (sniff)

Quincy Jones-yah, that Quincy Jones has said of Jonah -the singer- that "He has one of the greatest vocal ranges I've ever heard." As I'm sure others below have noted react to any Dirty Loops song they are all epic and such great energy. I love your videos from the physical set-up to your oh so smooth reactions they are just a treat all the way through. Loops made their initial fame on KZbin about ten years ago. They posted a bunch of amazing covers which got millions of views. I would love to hear you react to any DL song but my personal favorite is the epic "Next to You." I've heard this referred to as Loop's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and that totally works for me! Welcome to the Loops show!

Dirty Loops are not about Michael Jackson. They're about honoring the music, and often the music they play is their own. Where ever they are, they set up shop and own the space. You just happened to start with an MJ song. My personal favorite is Work Sh*t Out; maybe it's because it's the first DL song I heard. But I'll tell you something - bass and drums were never a big deal to me until I heard DL. I did a 180 so fast it made my head spin - and I'm no kid, I'm 70! Now I'm watching and listening to every detail from Henrik and Aron. They are mind-blowing.

Quincy Jones have produces this with Dirty Loops. Dirty Loops are from Stockholm Sweden
@fiddlestix3025 Жыл бұрын
Although Quincy is a real indicator of how good these guys are, but he only manages them, and doesn’t produce them. They’re entirely self-produced. It’s been said that Dirty Loops do everything themselves and never show Quincy anything, not even a demo tape, until they’re finished with it :) they’re some bad boys 🔥🔥🔥

DL is on Dimash level!!!! If you love to find new artists that amazes you... Dirty Loops is the way to go! Fun fact about this video: DL is in Stockholm, Sweden and Cory + the band is in Minneapolis, US. They never met for the shoot.

That amazing horn section is from Cory Wong's band: Cory and the Wongnotes. Anything Cory touches is 100% worth listening to if you want some pure Minneapolis funk. Cory's band proudly counts Sonny T (Prince's bassist) as a member. They are the real deal. In fact Cory said in an AMA that he played a few times in front of Prince who told him he has an amazing sound. I would particularly recommend Assassin from the Paisley Park session, Concrete which features Mark Lettieri from Snarky Puppy or Direct Flyte which features Victor Wooten- you would not be disappointed

You have to listen to what the dirty loops do on their own. It's comically amazing how good all three of them are. I've actually laughed at some of the stuff they do because it's that outrageously good and clean. Jonah can sing like MJ or Stevie, Henrick plays bass like a Swedish Victor Wooten, and Aron plays drums like a madman. The other three videos (rings of saturn, turbo, and follow the light) off this colab with Cory are also amazing. And yes Cory's hornline is nasty good.
@IFenderFatStrat2 жыл бұрын
Hey man! Love the content as always, absolutely no complaints. The project you just watched was a blessing for the music community as I personally never thought we’d get a Dirty Loops (Singer,Bassist, Drummer) and Cory Wong(Guitarist and horns) mashup. But they did a few songs together and they all slap my man. Just allow yourself to fall down the Dirty Loops Rabbit hole, it won’t disappoint, trust me. ** Also they are signed with Quincy Jones and I am sure you know who that is **
@gauthierbalcaen45672 жыл бұрын
A very nice reaction, as usual. From Dirty Loops you should really love "Follow the light" (also with Cory Wong), "Rock you", "Work shit out" (7:55 of musical pleasure) and "Ring of Saturn' (also with Cory Wong, a musical odyssey). See you next time !

I agree with Jamila below - join us in the Dirty Loops rabbit hole! You are so welcome! One of the best three-piece-bands I have ever heard, or any other band rather! A good next song might be "Next to you" (a m a z i n g), or Jonah Nilsson´s solo project and "Bad" (if you wanna hear more MJ covered). The great thing is that you have all below options of songs, unheard!! I am a bit envious actually.... Just pick and choose, ALL fantastic!!

Next To You is one of my all-time favorite songs. It’s perfect. Definitely a lot of MJ and Stevie Wonder influence vocally. They are all musical savants as well.
@ingmarkronfeldt61742 жыл бұрын
Cool reaction, like it! In addition to what the others suggest for the next Dirty Loops melody, one could list all their other melodies! Work shit out is sort of epic. All the melodies on the Turbo album (the collaboration with Corey Wong and the amazing brass section) are nice, but so is everything else they have done. Observe that Dirty Loops are the three guys on the right. The bass guitar player is fantastic, and so is the drummer/video editor, and so is the singer/piano/keyboard player. They never cease to impress and make joyful, wonderful and interesting music. Not that I am a fan, it's just objective facts of course. Also, do read the credits, there is sometimes some stupid/silly/fun comments. They also have a merch video that is silly and fun to watch, and well played as always. Not that I would buy their merch (well, maybe a t-shirt, and a coffee cup, they do deserve the support).

Work shit out is my fav but all of their music is awesome! The tightest band I have heard. They have mastered their instruments. I think Jonah is a mix of Stevie wonder and M.J. Thriller has been Loopified!

@MrLboyd Reacts Please, please listen to Work Shit Out by Dirty Loops. It is musical excellence, and you get to see these brilliant musicians each shine throughout the song, including a drum solo with the most perfect rhythm modulation that changes the character of a click track that you ever heard. It's stunning. They are much more than an MJ cover band. Influences include Stevie Wonder and Seal and gospel and jazz. It will be honey to your ears and wildfire to your soul.
