This is my favorite Eazy song, most people don't really know about this song, but it is so creative how every verse his voice matches the story telling. Even today this song sounds banging.

Thanks for reacting to this song. My favorite Easy E song ever. Remember NWA and Easy E was the first real hardcore gangster rap. We were all happily shocked when this kind of rap hit the underground scene. Compton is a 30 minute drive from my house. Scary place to be at that time if you didn't grow up there.

Eazy-E was the only true dyed in the wool gangster in N.W.A. with MC Ren being the 2nd. Everyone else was just friends hanging out. Ice Cube who wrote most of the material for Eazy-E, took what he knew about Compton, growing up in South Central, and stories he heard about Eazy-E to build his persona.. Eazy was a drug dealer, he ran with the crips, not a full fledged member, but a hardcore associate, Ren was actually part of the Kelly Park crips. The portrayal of Eazy getting his ass whupped by Suge in Straight Outta Compton was pure fiction. The Bloods, which Suge was a part of, knew better than to touch Eazy-E. But the story of eazy being a modern day Robin Hood are very true. He used to give away food and turkeys during the holiday, in fact that snippet of his life was used in New Jack City. When they say Eazy is the godfather of Gangster Rap, it is true, if it wasn't for his investment from the beginning there most likely would not be the gangster rap we all know and love... but he is the Real Deal, even in his toned down music exec life he still associated with the street crews and was extremely loved in Los Angeles., Still is, also in the Netherlands Eazy-E is the most beloved rap artist as there is mural of him painted on one of the commuter train bridges and it larger than life. Eazy was also the most popular member of N.W.A. While not the best rapper, it was his voice, his presence, and the material written for him that vaulted him to god-like status.

Eazy-E's public battle with HIV/AIDS and subsequent death in 1995 were met with a complex mix of reactions, including significant stigmatization. Here's a breakdown: Stigmatization: Misinformation and Fear: In the early 1990s, HIV/AIDS was still heavily misunderstood and associated with fear and shame. Eazy-E, a prominent figure in gangsta rap, faced a double stigma as a Black man and someone associated with a culture often viewed as hypermasculine. Blaming the Victim: Some narratives surrounding Eazy-E's diagnosis focused on his past promiscuous lifestyle, implying he was to blame for contracting the virus. This perpetuated harmful stereotypes and victim-blaming surrounding HIV/AIDS. Homophobia and Racism: The disease was still heavily associated with the LGBTQ+ community, and even though Eazy-E identified as heterosexual, homophobic attitudes contributed to his stigmatization. Additionally, racist undertones sometimes crept into discussions about his HIV diagnosis. Positive Impacts: Breaking Silences: Despite the stigma, Eazy-E's openness about his diagnosis sparked important conversations about HIV/AIDS in the Black community, particularly among young men. It brought the issue to the forefront and encouraged dialogue where it was desperately needed. Education and Awareness: Eazy-E's death led to increased awareness and educational efforts about HIV/AIDS prevention within the hip-hop industry and beyond. A benefit concert, "Urban AID 4 Lifebeat," highlighted the need for safer sex practices and dispelled common misconceptions. Shifting Narratives: While initial discussions were sometimes fraught with stigma, over time, Eazy-E's story has been used to promote compassion and understanding about HIV/AIDS. Important Points to Consider: It's crucial to remember that Eazy-E was a human being who deserved compassion and understanding, regardless of the choices he made in his life. The stigma he faced reflected the broader societal issues surrounding HIV/AIDS at the time, which have thankfully evolved since then. His story serves as a reminder of the importance of accurate information, open conversations, and dismantling harmful stereotypes surrounding the disease. It's important to note that this is a complex topic with various perspectives. While Eazy-E faced significant stigmatization, his story also had a positive impact on HIV/AIDS awareness and understanding.
