Great song! ELO had their biggest hits in the 70's-80's & mixed modern rock pop songs with classical overtones. Jeff Lynne wrote most of their songs. They had a lot of great hits such as "Roll Over Beethoven", "Showdown", "Can't Get It Out Of My Head", "Evil Woman", "Strange Magic", "Livin' Thing", "Do Ya", "Rockaria!", "Turn To Stone", "Sweet Talkin' Woman", "Mr. Blue Sky", "Wild West Hero", "Shine A Little Love", "Confusion", "Hold On Tight", "Twilight" etc.

I remember in HS back when I still lived in New York City when I was clubbing with my fake ID so I could get in at 16/17🤣🤣 It was the Disco era and this song came out and they played it at the club I frequented almost every weekend. I said to some people this is ELO! Some people I hung out with didn’t listen to some of the music I listen to, so they were like who the hell is ELO? I was like don’t worry about it, just dance. It sounds funky because it’s got a little disco sound to it.

Here's another song by ELO, if interested. "Electric Light Orchestra - Turn To Stone" (by the channel: snetterton88). This song is the first track on ELO's landmark double album called "Out Of The Blue" Jeff Lynne, the frontman for the band wrote it during a marathon two-week song crafting retreat in Switzerland. The album had 4 million pre-ordered copies and quickly went multi-Platinum upon its release. This album produced 5 hit singles in different countries and was ELO's most commercially successful studio album...In otherwards this is a Banger🎊🎶 This was a fun reaction thanks so much for sharing, Shon. This song was off the Disco/very album. At that time I wore a t-shirt that said "Death before Disco". I was a rocker back then but I still bought every album of ELO nonetheless. Jeff's voice could sing any style and make it amazing.

Credit where credit is due. Bass player Kelly Groucutt's vocals on this track, like on many other ELO tracks, is equally as good as Jeff Lynne's. Groucutt always sang beautiful harmonic backing vocals, but also co-lead vocals with Lynne on some tracks (check out Sweet Is The Night). Groucutt's voice was very similar to Lynne's, just a little thinner, but he hit high notes that were amazing.

Obscure fact -- Louis Clark who was with ELO from 1974 - 1980 also had a series of successful albums with the Hooked on Classics series. Explains the incursions into orchestral sounds here...

This is one of ELOs least interesting songs. Just a disco money grab. I dismissed it in 1980 and I ignore it to this day. Disco dreck.
