ELO makes you feel all sorts of things. Just now seem to be getting the credit they deserve.

Even though it wasn't a hit, I really like E.L.O.'s "Moment in Paradise" from the album "Zoom". Jeff's voice really soars on that track. Another beautiful and overlooked ballad from them is "Take Me On & On" from "Secret Messages". You just can't go wrong with Jeff Lynne. He is an icon and a musical genius.

I had to chuckle reading your comment. Many self-described ELO "fans" seem to have slight problems with this album, as it definitely has some disco vibes to it - and it is from 1979 for sure. But when Jeff Lynne does disco, it ain't no ordinary disco. :-) Take any song from this album, or any of Jeff's songs on the Xanadu soundtrack, and they just resonate through the times. (And then in 81 he went all synthy and spacy with a time travelling/dream/subconscious psychological concept album, which was just as superb as anything else he did.) I'd love to see a reaction to Midnight Blue for a change. :-)

If you want to continue down the ELO rabbit hole try: Livin Thing Sweet Talkin Woman Turn to Stone Telephone Line Diary of Horace Wimp Evil Woman All over the World Do the studio versions. Jeff Lynne (the singer songwriter producer) is a genius Also, based on your final comment (and growing up in this era) you are correct Record companies (before downloading etc) had the $$ to support & develop an artist because of record sales Artists for the most part strived to be different & push musical boundries We were spoiled And concerts were only $6 !!
