Elvis was more than good . He was Always TCB. And by you being young and don't know that means TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS. Elvis sang from the Heart so when he sing these slow ballads he's telling the story and makes you feel what he singing about. We that grew up listening to him get it. He was and still is the greatest. THE G O A .T

1.5 Billion (yes, Billion) people worldwide watched the Aloha from Hawaii concert. It was the very first (ever) performance sent via satellite all over the world. I watched it here in New Zealand, as a young woman. It was such a magical concert, & the public full-dress rehearsal the day before had just as many people in the audience (several thousand), as the actual concert had. At the rehearsal, people gave a donation at the door, enabling people who would not have been able to afford to see the actual concert to see the great Elvis Presley in action. The donations raised money for the Hawaiian Cancer society …. $75,000, which was a huge sum of money in 1973. I remember this concert as if it was yesterday.

Great reaction!! I would suggest for you Jailhouse Rock, from his 1957 movie Jailhouse Rock. You want the movie clip. Also, Mean Woman Blues, the movie clip from his 1957 movie Loving You. I think you will really enjoy seeing a young Elvis doing his thing! Also from the same Aloha Concert, Steamroller Blues and You Gave Me A Mountain. Keep learning about Elvis. He's a great subject to study.

I grew up on Elvis I'm 55 now I've been to literally hundreds of concerts mainly rock and roll heavy metal but this was my mothers only concert she's ever been to when she was 16. And she did have all of his albums in the 70s and her albums no cassette players no CDs no internet but yeah just thought I'd throw that in there

Aloha from Hawaii was viewed by 1.5 BILLON people throughout the world via satellite. (For reference; Live Aid which happened *years* later had over 75 acts like Queen, Elton John, and Led Zeppelin. The concert able to produce 1 billion views over 16 hours. However, Aloha from Hawaii had one act and was only 85 minutes long) The idea was brought up by Elvis’ manager, Colonel Tom Parker, who saw Richard Nixon's 1972 state visit to China live on TV via satellite. And of course, since the Colonel illegally immigrated to the states, he used this as Elvis' “world tour” without having to leave the country.

@@Jeri_C11 just got some interesting info on the weight of Elvis jumpsuits: i spoke w-Robin at B&K costume company who made Elvis' jumpsuits (Bill Belew's company) & asked about the weight of Elvis' Hawaii jumpsuits - Robin said the jumpsuits ea. weighed approx. 5 lbs., the belt approx. 5 lbs. the cape approx. 5 lbs.; the "long" cape was approx. 25 lbs. & he would not wear it, it was too heavy. Another example Robin said was his King of Spades - the suit, belt, & cape weighed approx. 8 lbs. each. So for anyone interested in the weights, know that 75, 100 or even 35 lbs. for just the jumpsuit by itself that some people mention, is quite outlandish. When i told Robin about the weights that some people mention, she laughed & said oh, no that's impossible.

If you like Gospel, listen to these songs, some of Elvis Gospel songs: Take my hand Precious Lord, Amazing grace, Why me lord (written by Kris Kristoffersen), How great though art, Amazing Graze, You gave me a mountain, Unchained melody, Where no one stands alone (on his own or with his daughter Lisa Marie), You'll never walk alone,. If you prefer ballad songs like My Way, Suspicius minds, In the Ghetto, If I can dream that is a tribute (parts of it is taken directly from the I can dream speach by MLK) to Martin Luther King JR and Bobby Kennedy, Walk a mile in my shoes, Bridge Over Troubled Water and American Thrillergy, he made over 700 songs...... He is the only person to have 2 records gone to sell Gold and 2 to to sell Platinum after he died. Not to bad for someone that did not have "any singing lessons ever", unless singing with a churchchoir count. BY THE WAY: M.Jackson married Elvis daughter Lisa Marie, but you knew that right? .

Elvis did about 31 movies. Hollywood just used him and gave him terrible scripts. There are about 3-4 movies that were pretty good dramatically. King Creole, jail house rock. But most were cookie cutter scripts with mundane songs. He hated it but wAs in a contract set up by his manager. That’s why the 1968 special is called the Comback. Finally done with movies and back to his love of Singing to an audience.

I would like an explanation as to how you could be so condescending and obnoxious when did your first Elvis reaction video on "an American Trilogy" yet your reactions to "My Way" is so enthusiastic as both his performances were masterful works of art? At what point did you suddenly start liking Elvis' "slow" music? Was it when you decided to leave you arrogance and pride on the self and actually listen with an open mind? I am not usually critical of peoples reviews as everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you pissed my off so much with you first reaction that whenever I listen to you, I hark back to that first reaction, and I'm afraid that's when you lost me.
