Elvis always said that he did whatever he felt like on stage and you can see it. He was so comfortable on stage and having a good time all the time singing about a turnip. I loved this thank you. There will never be another Elvis.

The King! Nearly 50 years after Elvis Presley’s death, he has still sold the most albums and singles in recorded music history. Elvis has sold an astounding 212 million albums and another 135 million singles. Frank Sinatra came in second with 95 million singles. Michael Jackson finished 3rd with 79 million singles

Have fun. To see one from this exact same show where there isn't any dancing and the focus is entirely on singing, listen to him doing Bridge Over Troubled Water. His arrangement of it is stellar and the band is killer and he just knocks it out of the park. It's all about the singing in that one.

When God created my friend Elvis he was just showing off. I can't tell you how much i love and miss him, there is not a day that goes by that i don't think of him and all the memories we made in 10 short years, his death knocked the wind out of me the funeral broke me i have never been the same since, Elvis was the big brother i never had. He is also my guardian angel. Graceland is my go to place when it get's to hard to live w/o my friend i go there and walk around and remember Elvis and all the beautiful times we had together. He was the only person in my life that understood me and cared about my feelings and opinions. What it comes down to is we both needed a true friend and we were that for each other. Awesome reaction. God bless you and your family from the one and only Memphis Tn, fye he loved to make noises with the microphone to get laughs there was nothing nasty or sexual about it. I called him sexy jello because of the way he shook his legs and hips when i 1st called him that he laughed for a bet 5 minutes lol. #forevermyking

IF you had ever gone to an Elvis concert you would realize that he worked off of the reaction of the crowd. When the ladies screamed he would give them a little more to enjoy. He ALWAYS gave an audience a show to remember, even at the end. The more you react to his music and live performances you'll understand why he IS "The King of Rock and Roll." I've been an Elvis fan from the beginning. I'm now 80 years old and still enjoy him on youtube.

As an avid fan for decades and like many Elvis fans pretty good on reading reactors, I am not sure if you really rate him yet as most new listeners need 4 0r 5 videos to start seeing why he is so revered in musical history. American Trilogy or What Now My Love from global concert Aloha From Hawaii Hawaii live 1973, will give you the voice while Trying To Get To You or Jailhouse Rock 1968 comeback special will give you the rocking side. What is going big everywhere is If I Can Dream 1968 the message song honouring MLK and the dream speech.

Great reaction! It looks like you both enjoyed watching this as much as Elvis did performing it. Elvis always strived to give the audience a great show, especially during this period. This song is pure rockabilly. That not he read probably came from someone in the crowd as women would often make Elvis propositions. If you want to watch a couple of songs from this same set of shows where Elvis shows off his vocal range, check out his cover of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "Just Pretend". Another good video is the 1970 rehearsal for "Words".

The thing with the microphone was for the sound effect. Elvis had to actually create the sounds that artists manufacture with technology. Yes, Elvis was a showman and loved improvising but you should also react to videos that showcase his ability to sing in any genre and his jaw dropping vocal capability. Suggestions: Unchained Melody (sadly one of the last songs he ever sang in concert just six weeks before his death), What Now My Love, Bridge Over Troubled Water, American Trilogy, Crying in the Chapel, and Don't Cry Daddy.

ALL of his music is wonderful, his live performances are the absolute best, and sometimes sound even better than the recordings.. I love his fun humorous and flirty ones but if I had to pick favorites, I would have to say his gospel music is amazing. You can feel the passion, strength and power of his beliefs in what he is singing.. How Great Thou Art, American Trilogy, You Gave Me a Mountain and Take My Hand Precious Lord are just a few of his amazing ones, but there are many many more as well.. Enjoy the journey and the music, I love that so many keep his music and him with us still to this day.. He was an amazing talent and a humble and loving person.. RIP Elvis

One of my favorite performances. He is so playful and relaxed. I wondered about that microphone bit you guys cracked up over for a long time. Why are you laughing? Please be respectful, don’t laugh at him. If you aren't going to be serious then don't put the video on here. He was severely sleep deprived, but he had amazing energy and he kept that energy through every show. This was back in the 1970s, his behaviors on stage were corny or funny to watch, he had a great sense of humor. People these days think his moves were corny but his audience loved it and he was THE greatest singer in the world, there was no one else. NOTHING he did on stage was intended to be sexual, including that move with the microphone, he did that to make his audience laugh. The lastest movie about him was right in that it was extremely controversial that he moved the way he did, they said it was sexual but it wasn't. He said in the movie that he can’t sing unless he can move, he moved to how the music made him feel, he had a deep religious faith. That is why he always needed to sing some kind of gospel song. Eventually they would only show him from the waist up. I grew up in the 1960s. Back then there was no social media to screw with people, the world was a different place not crappy like it is now, life was exciting, everything wasn't sexualized, people loved things that we might think are weird, boring or corny.

Elvis was the most successful Live Act Las Vegas has ever had. `69 - `77, 665 shows, every single one of them Sold Out. `Little wonder - in my view. Hell`s Bell`s, when he was alive he was as famous as everybody else in the world put together - which might ultimately have been his undoing.

Elvis was, and is, the single biggest phenomenon in the history of American music. His fans lost their minds at every performance from the beginning of his career until his death. When he joined the US Army, the reaction of his fans inspired the writing of "Bye Bye Birdie." His records were so popular that many songwriters made their careers by writing a song for him, even after paying half of their royalties for the privilege.
