The greatness of Elvis is how he could take spirituals, the sound for our souls and touch all of us. He spent years learning his craft from the great gospel and soul singers of Memphis. He crossed over and adapted the best of that genre and made it work with all cultures.

Hi I'm pleased you enjoyed listening to this song. Elvis recorded this back in 1957 and as Elvis would say in later years; 'My voice was high back then.' The pictures of Elvis that you showed were out of time, they were of Elvis in the70's, but still nice to see. if you want to listen to a gospel song that Elvis performed in the 70's take a listen to a live version of 'How Great Thou Art,' that will really blow you away. there will never be another entertainer like Elvis ever again.

Wonderful reaction! You may not realize it, but you've just struck gold with Elvis. He recorded over 700 songs and sang gospel, rock, blues, pop, ballads, country, etc. You name it and he sang it. His voice was very unique, and he put so much emotion into his timeless songs. I've subscribed in hopes of seeing you explore much more of Elvis' music. I guarantee you won't regret it. There's a reason he's gaining new fans every day even though it's been almost 45 years since he passed away.

Elvis made you feel the emotional energy when he sang and his hymns all expressed it. Just pretend and undeniably blue are two of my favorites… well really almost all of his songs are my favorite. I had the pleasure of seeing him in 1973 in Va and I was in the front section and he sold out in three hours . The crowd was all ages and everyone was on the edge of their seats and the building was filled with electricity. I have lived in Las Vegas 24 years and have seen almost all the stars in person and the concerts and singers can’t even come close to an Elvis concert must less his voice. Greatest entertainer I have ever seen or heard!

Watch his concert from Hawaii, Aloha from Hawaii it was seen by billions of people around the world via satellite live! Just fyi he was responsible for the USS Arizona memorial being finished to completion as they had run out of money and needed 75,000-100,000.00 to complete it and he donated the money! That is not known by today’s generation!

Hi Ruby, I just subbed to your channel, love your reaction to Elvis, you said it to the tee, the songs then actually had word's,you can understand, instead of all this music today that I don't understand at all, can't even make out the words, and most of it is this rap music , that I just don't understand why , it's a lot of cursing and jabber that makes no sense, nevèr listen to anyone but Elvis, he's always sending you a message and he makes you feel like he is singing just to you.
